COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
“The forecast: Hazy beer with a sunny taste.” American Wheat Ale is made with a high percentage of malted wheat, along with Pilsner malt, and modest hopping to deliver a smooth, light, drinkable beer. American Wheat Ale is hazy golden with a thick, white head. The aroma is light and grainy like fresh-baked bread. The flavor is light and crisp with a slightly sweet/tart, peachy finish from the use of aciduated malt.

Editor’s note: after the first batches, tweaked and renamed from American Wheat to Dude Man Wheat

Draft at ABC in Edmonds. Clean pale yellow. Pissy and bright. Pale lager flavors, fruity. Wattery lemon. Nothing happening here.

On Tap at the original BP Very pale clear light yellow. Small fine white head and lacing. Very light flavor, body, aroma. A little soapy biterness and a late soft bready trailer. Very mild. But nice.

On tap at Kulshan, pours a clear pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma is pretty weak with light wheaty and grain. Flavour is clean and refreshing, with neat wheaty notes, not much else. Highly drinkable and thirst-quenching, but nothing special.

Draught at the taproom
The color is yellower, darker than usual wheats, with creamy head. The aroma is light. The flavor is quite malty and even a bit crispy, with just an accent of wheat, good mouthfel, ordinary bitterness.
Doest taste much like a wheat, and this is good news; it’s not bad.

3.2
riversideAK (6260) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - JUL 7, 2012
Light wheat malt nose, a hint of cereal grains, light earthy hops. Pours hazy light yellow, not much in the way of head or lace. Light wheat malt, grain, a little bread, somewhat subtle and unremarkable but well made and easy to drink.
