UPDATED: JUN 14, 2016 Bottle. Clear dark red to brown colour with a medium tan head, malty, roasty and a little boozy aroma, dried fruits, chocolate, caramel and liquorice, taste is sweet and roasty at first, then sour and bitter, very mellow mouthfeel and a long finish with clear chocolate notes. Excellent!

Caramel, grain and bread malts, molasses, light honey, light metal. Clear, dark brown, massive, frothy, off-white head. Medium sweet. Sweet malts continue, caramel, molasses, turns slightly bitter, straw. OK Doppelbock, taste is fine, quite one dimensional, aroma bit of a let down. Bottle from a Chilean friend.

This is what the Torobayo used to be. A mouthful well rounded beer. Caramel, strong, nice body, and a bit bitter in the end. Highly recommended. If you find yourself at a restaurant and you have the option in between the Torobayo and this one the Gran Torobayo, go for the latter, is much much better
