Crystal clear like a vodka. nose is pear-like and sweet. taste is more lychee than pear with a distinct rice flavor. The sweetness creates an impression of thickness in the finish.

Beerhunter111 (22508) - P´Castle, GERMANY - OCT 7, 2017
Bottle shared with Erzengel! A almost colourless, Sake. Aroma of medium sweet yellow fruits, mellow, sugar. Taste of medium sweet yellow fruits, rice, mellow, slightly boozy.

Erzengel (9497) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - OCT 7, 2017
500ml bottle, bought in Luxembourg. Sweetish mild beginning. Hints of alcohol, sweetish grainy rice. Sticky sweetish in the aftertaste. Sessionable but a bit sweetish.

FROTHINGSLOSH (8142) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 21, 2017
Sampled from a bottle this sake poured a very pale yellow color. The aroma was rice, fusel and solvent. The flavor was sweet with rice and vodka notes. Long rice finish. Medium body. Disappointing.

rocbyter (2159) - Waterbury, Connecticut, USA - MAR 28, 2017
Light rice aroma but nearly non existent. Clear color. Mildly sweet beginning with a nutty middle and stronger sweet finish. Slight alcohol in the end.

Patrickctenchi (6731) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - MAR 22, 2017
Bottle: Clear and still as water.....virtually no colouring. Rice and grass scent. Very mild, sweet rice malt taste. A bit of alcohol, but incredibly smooth.

Ysok02 (1827) - Mons, BELGIUM - JAN 17, 2017
Un très beau saké tout en élégance et en finesse avec un nez fin et fruité et une bouche à la fois droite et ronde, très beau saké de repas.

Handypaul (581) - Burlington, Vermont, USA - APR 20, 2016
Bottle at home, @40F. Pours clear with no head. Light flavors of persimmon some yeast and rice. Very little taste of alcohol, clean finish, light sweetness and not too grainy.

(Rating #6768)

shrubber85 (11618) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - JAN 30, 2016
Bottle. Dry grass and rice malt aroma. Clear - just a hint of yellow. Sweet creamy rice malt, alcohol, and grass flavor. Nice body. Pleasant.

drjoeng (1380) - SINGAPORE - DEC 13, 2015
14%ABV. Ginjo Sake Nose had some sweet rice cakes. There was a very subtle funk to the nose with aroma of fresh steamed rice cakes made with fermented rice flour. There was a nutty sweetness to the nose as well suggesting chestnuts and dried acorns. There was an overall clean candy nose. Mouthfeel was watery and alcoholic. The palate which was dominated by alcohol and given a mildly warming of the throat was brief followed by the following flavors: sweet rice gruel, a fruity slightly citrus flavor with mild bitterness suggesting yuzu and yuzu peel. Some fruity sweetness with a slightly rich and decadent flavor like fresh persimmons. Clean finish and palate.
