Disclaimer: Being brought up on Altbier I cannot be regarded as 100% objective. Kürzer has manged - although being setup only recently - to be accepted and regarded as one of the core Altbier breweries in the heart of Düsseldorf's old city (which is where good Alt comes from and nowhere else). Has a medium bitterness to it and thus makes for a very enjoyable Altbier drinking session, best of course from tap in the brewery's outlet. kraddel (8602) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - AUG 29, 2017
Pous clear, bit darker copperamber. Small to regular white head, very stable and fluffy. Smell is rather weak, bit malty. Taste is corny, bit metallic , rather weak in. Onparancy to the other breweries’ alts.still not bad though. tonyferrari (33) - North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - AUG 12, 2017
Served on tap. Clear copper colour. Thick frothy lasting off-white foam. Herbal and sligtly grassy aroma. Malty and sligtly roasty flavour. The right amount of bitterness in order to balance the sweetness. The medium body and the medium carbonation well mask the 4.8% Abv. A complex and smooth altbier, probably one of the best altbiers in Düsseldorf. Rasmus40 (21463) - Beder, Aarhus, DENMARK - JUL 11, 2017
Bottle from Getränkefeinkost, Magdeburg. Clear dark amber with a lasting off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and light hoppy - herbal. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. 110717 gegwilson (3752) - North Yorkshire, ENGLAND - JUN 6, 2017
Cask in the brewpub. Pours brown with a big frothy cream head. Toast aroma. The taste is more toast, slightly buttery. Decent.

Clear mahagony with a medium off white head. Aroma had roasted malt and hints of nuts. Flavor was dry and roasted with nuts and a soft mouthfeel. Finished bitter. Not bad! Tjeerd (607) - GERMANY - DEC 1, 2016
Yep, quite nice beer! Sweet caramelly taste, warm, round and lasting taste and aftertaste. ElDesmadre (3627) - Mikołów, POLAND - NOV 30, 2016
Bottle. Well, what a nice surprise. Grain making way for a dry nuttiness, sweet chocolate, a hint of dried fruit. Soft and smooth mouthfeel, impeccable drinkability. Simple, straightforward and yet so much rewarding beer. Dry finish but still with that aftertaste of malt awesomeness. Wow. I could drink this every day.
