COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

500ml bottle, many thanks to faroeviking. Motor oily pour, near-jet black body added by brownish highlights. Tan-coloured head. Roasted malty nose, hints of dark chocolate. Fine blended flavours of black and brown malts, coffee grounds and dark chocolate, joined by dusty hops. Roasted malt bitter ending, long-lived. Soft and mouthfilling. Tasty (hotel room, Copenhagen 26.05.2013).

Bottle. Pours opaque black with small light brown head. Aroma is elderberry flowers, juniper, soap wet paint, hints of licorice. Taste is medium sweet, medium bitter and light acidic. Body is light oily to light creamy with good carbonation. Finish is long and bitter and dominated by licorice but also has notes of espresso, dark chocolate, baked raisins, chalk and soap.

Nice lasting brown head on top of black beer. Aroma is coffee, burned malt with a bit of ash and a hint of caramel. Taste is in the same area as the aroma with nice malty caramel before ashy burned malt. Ends quite bitter. Very nice indeed.

Coal black imperial stout with a heavy roasted flavor. Hop flavor is not particularly marked, something bitter. quite successful. Must be opened with care to to avoid the black beer on the carpet.

Bottle 50cl. Deep black colour with a dark beige head. Complex nose, with hints of chocolate, burned/roasted caramel. The taste is very intense with a typical "black" taste. Don’t kow how to describe it better. There is a remarkable taste of coal which I like. Luckily the finish has a great biterness to comlete a really nice impression. A really good beer if you like Imperial stout

Bottle: Thanks to Fonefan. Very big vast brown foamy head on top of a black beer. Smell roasted malts, coffee, chocolate and toffee. Taste burned malts, bitter, coffee, espresso, deep dark chocolate, some hints of dark spices and fruits. Lot of dark ingredients. Long bitter aftertaste. Light watery texture, medium to full body, low carbo and a soft dry mouthfeel. First swig appeared watery and with a low body but right after this beer gets way better. Full dark chocolate coffee bitter taste. Well balanced!

Pitch black beer, with a thick and creamy brown head. Both aroma and taste is ritch and sweet, with notes og licorice, dark chokolate, coffee and smoke. It’s a deep and rich stout, not that complex but good.
