on tap at le projet, qc. hazy medium dark brown pour, mahogany tint, with a creamy beige head, reviving and leaving nice lacing. roasted red pistachios, red and purple matter, burnt soap, spicy pine, grapefruit rinds, few coffee grounds, clean american yeast action, lots of minerals it seems. moderate carbonation, light body - thin but not watery; dryingly assertive mineral-piney finish. nice hoppy american brown - sessionable. On tap at brouhaha Ahuntsic. Deep brown almost black pour with reddish hue and lacy white head. Aroma is really hoppy, citrusy piney notes, lots of c hops, light toasted malt. Taste is bitter, nice citrusy hop flavor with solid maltiness, lots of toast, light caramel, nice coffee flavor, quite potent. Palate is med bodied, strong carbonation, dry finish. Dégustée en fût à l’îsle de Garde en compagnie de Ju-Lo. La bière est brune foncée et laisse de jolies dentelles off-white sur mon verre. Nez très houblonné de citron et de pamplemousse. Peu de grains, torréfaction absente, on est vraiment du côté du houblon. Les saveurs sont la continuité logique des arômes dans une harmonie étroite et sèche. A clear brown ale with a thin lacing off white head. In aroma, nice caramel malt with loads of resinous piney hops, light nutty notes, light coffee, very nice. In mouth, a nice caramel malt with light treacle, loads of resinous piney floral hops, grapefruit pulp, very hoppy interpretation of a brown ale. On tap at vices et versa.

Tropical fruit sit atop conifer stumps, while roasted chestnuts add depth to this Brown Ale/IPA hybrid.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam lasts atop the dark brown.
-The body is smooth yet drier than your average Brown Ale.
-Roasted notes appear in the finish.
-Hops are nicely expressed throughout.
-Caramel sweetness is only suggested once in a while.

Appearance: Slightly hazy dark amber with a medium ever lasting beige head and god lacing.
Aroma: Very good balance between the components as the roasted notes, nutty presence, mineral/earthy notes, floral hops and herbal notes aren’t overpowering each other.
Taste: Slightly sweet (but really not much) with roasted malts, earthy/mineral notes, herbal/floral presence, nuts and light bitterness.
Palate: Medium body. Moderate carbonation. Rather fluffy mouthfeel. Gentle roasty finish.
Overall: Really well balanced Brown Ale with a nice but mild bitterness to help drinkability. Nothing is overpowering. Very nicely done!
