Copper red with quite huge off white head that collapse quite soon. Lacing.
Aroma.. malty metallic, hoppy, bit fruity. Watery.
Sweetish with medium bitter watery finish.
Not bad and quite refreshing, but those metallic/watery elements brings this beer low
500ml bottle from Stockman, Riga. Shared with Stefan&Rune 22.Mar.2012
Dark chestnut coloured body and thin layer on top, flat carbonation, sweet plum, prunes, dates and hint of honey. Dry and watery. Camons (12435) - Hasselager, DENMARK - MAR 5, 2013
Bottle @ Porins, Liepaja. Pours dark amber with a offwhite head. Aroma of sweet malt, toffee, caramel, little fruit. Flavor is malt, caramel, light coffee notes, little fruit. Thin body, soft carbonation. 040313 Marduk (7694) - Reval, ESTONIA - FEB 1, 2013
500ml bottle. Dark brown color. Small brown head. Metallic, yeasty, caramel, malty aroma. Dry yeast, malty, grainy, papery flavor. Not really doing it for me. kiwianer (3428) - Otorohanga, NEW ZEALAND - JUN 5, 2012
The head is medium, the body dark. The taste is aromatic, darkmalty, sweet, a bit alcoholic. Could be a bit more intensiv but ok! 10/9/10/10/9/10

UPDATED: MAY 21, 2012 500 ml bottle shared at Beer session XIX "From Latvia with alus" in Tromsø 220312. Chestnut colour with beige head that soon vanishes leaving no lacing. Quite nice aroma of dark fruits, but the flavour is more bland and insignificant as well as somewhat metallic. Palate is dry even if it is slightly watered and the beer is easy to drink. On the whole: average. Rune (12724) - Tromsø, NORWAY - MAR 23, 2012
500ml bottle, kindly provided by Stefan and Elisabeth. Fading, beige head, nice ruby-brown body, no lace. Aroma of dark and dried fruits. Bread-like malts in flavour added by dark fruits. Dry ending. Feels rather thin in the mouth, easy to drink. So and so (shared at a drinking session in Tromsø, 22.03.2012). BeerSkull (1373) - SWEDEN - SEP 7, 2011
Sweet and sour malt fragrance with a slightly smoky nuance and hints of alcohol, figs and brown sugar. Typical Latvian beer fragrance! Tastes like burnt sugar and roasted caramel malt. A bit watery. Not very good but one of the better Latvian beers I have tasted! Brandman (2948) - Helsinki, FINLAND - DEC 21, 2010
Brown body, off white head. Aroma has sweet malts, some metal. Flavour is sweet and slightly roasted. Palate is little thin. FatPhil (16102) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - SEP 20, 2010
500ml bottle (Rimi, Riga)
4+ Slighly off aroma, hard to describe how, but certainly had some ’ew!’ to it.
3+ Bold caramel red, healthy off-white head
5 Very caramelly retronasals and taste. Otherwise pretty dull.
2 Sweet, watery, and fizzy. Finish a bit mushroomy, papery and caramelly.
9 Not a bad beer, but without any of the character that the old Livu brews had (having said that, they were nastier!).
