Originally rated April 2005. This beer is brewed exclusively for La Coopérative de Solidarité du Dépanneur Sylvestre in Hull, Quebec. It pours a hazy light golden-white colour with tiny bubble carbonation. The head is decent and has good retention. Nice lacing. The nose is malty with hints of honey. The taste is bitter, but has a smooth aftertaste. Creamy mouthfeel. Not bad, and that seems about all I’ll see from La Barberie here in the Outaouais region.

Bottle explosion... Aroma:bread,lemon,acidity... Appear blonde, mega huge head... Flavor:lemon, very watery........

(Bottle). Small white head. Golden blond body with a lot of particules of small to medium size. Milk sour, acidic and yeasty aroma. Acidic initial flavor of short duration, very light sweetness hidden by sour and acidic flavors. Not very interesting in my mouth. Something I’ll try to avoid I guess... Sampled at MartinTfs place with other RateBeerians for the "Montrealfs Voyager Par Les Papillesf first tasting session".

Apparently I "liked" this more than the rest of you... Mild citrus-lemon, lactic acidity in the nose. Cloudy, straw colour with plenty of sedimented yeast and little head. Cookie dough, lemon, grainy-husky flavours and mild acidity. Engaging carbonation and light body. Bottle sampled with beerbuzzmontreal, Lubiere, MartinT, Rastacouere and SimonB.

Quite yeasty, acidic lemon water and puny bitterness...Very weak inside, a superficial being with a lot to work on herself...

beerbuzzmontreal (3487) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 29, 2004
Pours a blonde color with chunks of yeast in suspension, no head. Very unpleasant aroma and flavor, acid and maybe yeasty. Very light body. Not good at all.

Rastacouere (6177) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 28, 2004
Clear blonde, lots of sediments, neglectable white head. Unappealing aroma reminds of mayonnaise, sour lemon, sour mustard grains. Very lemony palate with harsh acidity coming out almost cardboardy. Very poor thin body, lively carbonated. Awful, yet reminding me I’m so spoiled.

CapFlu (5129) - Victoria, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 26, 2004
UPDATED: NOV 29, 2004 (500ml bottle) Pours a frothy white head with a slightly clouded amber body. The nose is of lemon and yeast. The flavour is quite sour and mildly orange. An terribly citrus beer...

Bottle: Poured a golden lightly cloudy color ale with medium head and average retention. Aroma is quite malty with some nice floral note. Taste is quite nice with again floral malt giving it a refreshing taste with light bitterness at the end. Overall, this is a good refreshing ale and is even better when you learn that all profits will be reinvested in Community program in Hull.
