omhper (25958) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - NOV 22, 2004
Bottled. Copper coloured, some yeast particles, rich head. Grapefruity hop aroma. Sweet with clean mouthfeel. Very roasty and somewhat ashy. Resiny finish.

Oakes (19426) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 17, 2003
Amber-orange colour. Smokey, fruity, earthy, mossy, toasty, but not very assertive amounts of any of these, make up the aroma and palate of this beer.

Lubiere (14262) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 14, 2003
Deep red copper colour with a big hoppy alty nose. Caramel malts, nuts, with lots of floral hops (good for QC beer), but a little acidic point (beer may be going off).

jercraigs (11095) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 17, 2003
Hazy red amber, with a medium sized tan head. Nice malty bitterness with a pleasant slightly tart tang to it.

MartinT (10155) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 6, 2002
UPDATED: JUL 22, 2003 (Tap) Standard soft bitter…Lambent hop bitterness and caramel, fruity malt… 3/5 (Bottle) A gentle citrus breeze caresses the rose and hop garden...Needless to say, this wet earth attracts a horde of honey bees...A bit thin like most Barberies, but nice nonetheless...Quaffable equilibrium leading to refreshing grassy hop aftertaste...

mabel (10003) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 5, 2006
[079-20061028] 500mL. Hazelnut-mixed-with-QC-bottle-conditioning aroma. Cloudy, brown body with a big quick light brown head. Lightly nutty flavour, fairly smooth, bit of a bitter kick from the bottle along with some bandaid notes, and an OK aftertaste. Medium palate. Would be OK to repeat.

czar (9615) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 16, 2012
on tap at brewery. clear dark golden reddish with a small off-white head, no retention. fruity dry caramel esters. faint light toasted malts, very light acidity. soft carbonation, light body - oily, unexpected medium long citrusy and fairly herbal finish.

jonas (8281) - Garching close to the monks, GERMANY - NOV 20, 2008

Sigmund (8031) - Tau, NORWAY - FEB 11, 2013
Shared 500 ml bottle, ABV is 4.5%. Beautiful ruby colour, large off-white head. Malty aroma, sweetish and perfumed, caramel and flowers. Malty flavour with distinct notes of caramel, but not overly sweet. Some wood and mild roasty notes in the background. Moderate hops.

(Rating #1972)
