Speciale Noël could only be a Christmas beer. It is a classic, warming winter ale with plenty of depth and a roasted, fruity malt character.

Bottled. Brown colour with a beige head that dissapears. Aroma is yeast, red fruits and alcoholic. Flavor is sweet, citrus and red fruits. Dry final with a mild bitterness. Medium carbonated with an average to high body.

Is this a Christmas ale?? The taste had some sour red fruits en a bit caramel in the after taste. But I didn´t like this beer at all, I was expecting a heavy full complex Christmas beer as all of them, but this was more a refreshing beer.

Served in a stubby bottle as reserve speciale. Poured into a tulip glass. Nice cloudy amber, minimal head. Hoppy, wheaty nose with some roasted nuts. Crisp, refreshing mouthfeel. Nicely malty taste, great hop balance. Hints of sweetness dance on the tongue but are hard to place. Quite good! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clear amber coloured beer with small white head and lots of carbonation. Spicy malty fruited aroma. Full sparkling palate. Finish is bitter spiced dry with sweet hints.

Presentation: 11.2 oz. stubby brown bottle, served in a 5 Rabbit tulip glass. Appearance: Frothy one finger head that goes down a bit but then stays there. It’s a deep amber color and leaves some great lacing. Smell: Very complex, with some fruit sweetness, spicy coriander and some citrus hop notes. Taste: Just like the smell, a great, complex combination of flavors can be sensed. Nothing is really dominant or overpowering, everything is balanced and the end result is fantastic. There’s some citrus fruit notes, complemented by warming spice and a hint bitter hop notes. An herbal taste with an alcoholic finish wrap everything up. Mouthfeel: It feels full bodied and strong with some good carbonation. Goes down smooth. Overall: This is a very well made and complex beer. Despite the wide variety of scents and flavors, everything is balanced really well, so it doesn’t feel messy or like it’s trying to hard. It’s a spicy and alcoholic beer (9% ABV), so it goes better with cold weather, but a great beer like this can be enjoyed at any time.

Misty copper brown body with bubbly creamy light beige head. Brioche, sweet sticky yellow fruit, tamarind, roasty malts and cookie spices like cinnamon. Fairly bitter taste, big bubbly carbonation accentuates this but I’d have liked a more darker, sweeter taste. It end fairly quickly. Bit disappointing overall. (33cl bottle from Cave Gambrinus)
