COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Speciale Noël could only be a Christmas beer. It is a classic, warming winter ale with plenty of depth and a roasted, fruity malt character.

A hazy dark red beer with a fine off-white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of nutmeg and cloves - a really lovely aroma. The flavor is sweet with notes of nutmeg, cloves, yeast, oranges, wood, roasted bread, caramel and corriander. A great flavor that is rounded off by a light bitterness. The palate is good - and it warms very nicely.

UPDATED: MAR 1, 2006 (Bottle 33 cl) Reddish amber with a tall, frothy head and lots of sediment. Extremely full-bodied and potent Christmas beer with a good dose of hops to balance things. Has a lightly perfumy, refined touch - maybe coriander. An excellent brew. 080698

Cloudy brown beer, not much head. Light and dry and frothy. Mildly spiced? A little ginger perhaps! Quite smooth. Okay - just a tad dull.

Corked bottle, 2006-12-11, 8-4-8-4-16=40
Hazy amber color. Nice aroma, perfumy, malty, a bit fruity. Soft and mellow taste, with some good malt, a dash of fresh fruitness, some toffee; the bitterness is not very high, but on the end there is a touch of sweet liquorice root.

Draught at Den Tatoverede Enke, Copenhagen; 2006-11-27; vintage 2005, 8-4-8-4-16=40
Cloudy amber color. Malty aroma, a bit fruity, sweet caramel, candy like. Good body, quite malty, with a lot of sweet and fruity caramel, and a rather complex mix. Peculiar, very interesting.
