On bottle from Nice Airport Gourmet shop. Mahogny colored with good foam. Medium aroma intensity; some hops, malt, earthily with some soapy flavours and notes of rotten aromas. Medium body & complexity . Ok bitterness, some sourness- something a bit off? Ok- but is there an infection developing? ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours muddy brown with a medium off white head. Aromas of caramel, bready notes and ripe apple, cookie dough. Taste is light burnt caramel, slight fruity notes and flowery character. Mouthfeel is fairly light bodied with moderate carbonation.

10/VIII/16 - 33cl bottle @ Erwin’s BBQ ponton tasting - BB: 26/IV/17 (2016-824) Thanks to Erwin for sharing the bottle!

Cloudy dark amber beer, huge creamy beige head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: very metallic, bit sweet, caramel, swimming pool. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty bitter, bit sweet, malty, sourish touch, some tropical fruits, caramel. Aftertaste: malty, caramel, bit sweet, soft bitterness, pretty fruity finish. Decent.

Bottle from Le Petit Cave, Saint Paul de Vence, France. Hazy red-copper coloured with a thick white head of foam. It has a creamy red fruit and burnt toffee flavour followed by malt, roasted notes and pine on the creamy finish. Very nice, but not really a pale ale.

750ml . No cork . In an orval goblet. Cascade nose , treacly malts , woody and spicy . A caramel backbone. Better than I expected but this style bores me in its simplicity. Nice enough though.

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
