On bottle from Gourmet shop at Nice airport ( next to gate 33). Cloudy golden color, good foam. Medium aroma intensity; floral, a bit earthily and some fruitiness. Medium body & complexity . Good bitterness and balance. Enjoyable

Sampled from Allez Hops! Cave à Bière in Nice. Served at 7 deg C.
Zytha pours bright and with just a touch of haze - remarkably clear for a hand-crafted and non-filtered beer.
Chick peas are a Niçoise specialty - most often associated with the local wood-fired chick pea pancake known as Socca. Even by themselves, chick peas are subtly flavoured... In Zytha, they contribute ’lightness’, a crisp texture, and a distinctive, pleasing "je ne sais quoi" that differentiates it from other local ales.
Overall, extremely drinkable, in the sun, or with a light meal. Zytha ably captures the zeitgeist and ’terroir’ of Nice. Recommended.

Cloudy pale beige beer, irregular creamy off-white head, unstable, bit adhesive. Aroma: bit yeasty, floral, fruity touch, soapy, coriander? MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: spicy start, coriander, little sour, bit metallic, citrus, yeasty, soapy, pretty bitter. Aftertaste: spicy, pretty bitter, sweet and sugary as well. Weird... Not so ... wait for it ... nice!
Bottle from Le Petit Cave, Saint Paul de Vence, France. Hazy straw coloured with a thin white head. It has a herbal and lemon flavour with citrus and spices followed by a smooth wheat and zesty fruity finish. Very Good.

750ml. No cork and that’s kinda unnerving for a French bier , I dunno, just seems wrong or misplaced with no cork if its a Frog beverage . This was a gift from my girlfriend’s parents ... they have it registered in their minds that i’m an alcoholic who likes wanky obscure beers(kinda makes it socially ok ) while having a dirty weekend in NICE they bought me a few of these things . I didn’t think they liked me that much . WOW i’m screwed . I fkunked French class and thus had no idea from the bottle blurb that this bier had been made with chickpeas . Innovative or gross ? Maybe both ! In an Orval goblet a subtle creamy white head only lasted a minute and rests above straw yellow liquid . The paradise hops are floral , aromatic and musty ...the yeast is musty too ,. I knew there was a strange texture to this from the nose , but I had no fucken clue it could be chickpeas . Not too bad flavours , i’m struggling to see wat nunances using chickpeas add of interest . This drinks just like a decent EURO blonde ale with a strange veggie like under note . Not bad , but strange too. PapaVillum (943) - Valby, DENMARK - MAY 23, 2016
