Miksu (5053) - Jyväskylä, FINLAND - NOV 20, 2015
0.33 l bottle from Firma Bier. Amber color, sparking with big bubbles. Aromas of orange, toffee and musty yeast. Taste of toffee, bread crust and orange with some earthy and musty yeast notes. Carbonation is a bit sharp at first, but swirling the glass softens the palate. I rarely praise these Belgian amber beers and this one is no exception. Toffee and musty yeast are fairly dominant flavors giving this a humdrum feel.

Bottle at home. Aroma of malt, dried fruits, sweet apples, yeast, caramel, some tofee, earthy, herbal notes. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet. Body is medium. Has a delicate balance and smooth quality to it. Enjoyable.

Banane caramélisées sur lit de levure, une belle bière dans la tradition belge. Forte, belle couleur ambrée, peu de mousse.

4/8/2009 4:44:17 PM Bottle from Cracked Kettle. Murky orange body with thin line of head. Sour nose. Quite carbonated and prickly mouthfeel. Some grass and herbs in the flavour. It’s quite high on the ABV, if only in taste, and has tartness in the finish. Enjoyable.

Bottle from Tres Bonne Cuisine. Lively bottle, had to get it in the glass right away at, initial high airy, foamy head. Murky brown pour with lots of particulates. Sugary sweet, yeasty aroma. Lots of sweetness in the taste, plums and molasses. Slick body, but kind of thin. Lingering sweetness.

StueyD (1583) - Heacham, Norfolk, ENGLAND - JUL 6, 2015
A hazy amber gold coloured beer with a frothy and thick white head. A mild fruity and spicy aroma, a peppery element, along with clove and nutmeg. Dry mouthfeel. A tart fruity taste, pithy lime and a hint of grapefruit. Then the spice comes through, pepper, clove and nutmeg. The spice lingers on towards bringing a dryness to the finish.

GuideDogSaint (1502) - Xiamen, CHINA - MAY 30, 2015
330ml bottle at Beer Station, Xiamen. Pours orange amber with a white head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, malt and biscuit. Sweet finish.
