On tap at the Brick Store Pub. Dark, murky brown with a medium, creamy, light tan head. The head sticks around for a long time, and the lacing is pristine. Heavy notes of chocolate, oak, light cinnamon, and some distinct notes of bourbon. Cloyingly sweet flavor, with some light spiciness, and a pleasant warming and sweet aftertaste. Heavy body, smooth and creamy. Overall, this is a stellar beer. Highly recommended!

Roasted notes, dark fruits, caramel, spices, brown with a good beige head, full body, medium carbonation, dried fruits, warming, again caramel...a very special strong beer, born in winter, you must drink it.

Bottle from la caisse de Bieres. Pours a beige head with ginger and candy aromas. Brown colored body. Thick and long sweet malts in mouth. A great Christmas Belgian dubbel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at Poechenellekelder. Medium-low off note of acetone distracting from the intense dried fruits, raisins. Light to medium carbonation and full body. Not my favourite. Too heavy and slightly off.

Heerlijk moutig.

Pours a sorghum-bourbon color with a large, well-retaining tan head. Lacing coats the glass nearly completely. Caramel, toffee, and metallic notes on the nose. Moderately rich mouthfeel and pretty gassy. 7-Up, caramel, toffee, and metallic flavors. The metal is like taking a drink from the bottle after the lid has rusted underneath.
