Glouglouburp (6103) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 8, 2014
In short: A standard well made roasty-coffee-chocolaty stout. Very good. BRW (2781) - Barcelona, SPAIN - SEP 7, 2013
How: Tap at brewpub in Barcelona (or is it really a brewpub?)
The look: Black body topped by a persistent small tan head leaving medium amount of lacings on the glass.<br/e>
In long: Nose is typical roasty coffee-forward stout with chocolaty notes. Body is thick and juicy with a relaxed carbonation. Taste is as unoriginal as it is pleasant. Roast, coffee, chocolate notes, nourishing but not cloying. Nothing ground-breaking but it gets all the basic right. This was a fine impy stout. Although it is the only beer I had from them I choose to believe that the beers from this brewpub are not at as bad as ratings suggest, because I’m an optimist, and I always see the glass as half-full, even when the glass is completely empty, it’s a depth perception problem, please don’t make fun of me.
On tap at La cervesera artesana. Black colour with tan head. Roasted malt and coffee aroma. Roasted malt , coffee and alcohol flavour. Poorly integrated alcohol. Medium to full body. heavy (2817) - Split, CROATIA - DEC 12, 2012
Draught at the brewpub on 20th Nov. It poured black body with medium sized brown head. Very nice roasted malt aroma, from chocolate and coffee to sourish hops notes. Nice complex flavor, hovering somewhere between bitter, sour and sweet, where chocolate, cocoa, coffee, cappuccino and similar roasted malt flavors were dominating over herbal hops. Incredible smooth and drinkable, creamy, full bodied. Long, excellent finish, cocoa and coffee. This beer made the night, had to ask twice is it really their product.
