500ml bottle. Hazy amber with a foamy white head. Flavors are toasted cereals, citrus, pine needles and grass with spicy and earthy notes. Light to medium body, soft carbonation, smooth texture.

bouteille de 500ml, bière rousse, nez de houblon, bouche houblonne, bonne amertume en fin de bouche, un peu de poussière marque le tout ce qui déplait.

In short: A well hopped light-bodied Pale Ale. Entry level but well done.
How: Bottles 500ml. Consumed very fresh soon after the beer release. Tasting session with Montreal crew
The look: Partially cloudy (first glass of bottle) to totally cloudy (last glass of bottle) copper body topped by a very thin off-white head
In long: Nose of leafy and woody hops with a fruity touch. Body is very light but not watery. Carbonation is a bit too much for the thin body. This beer needs more body. Basic neutral malt backbone offering flavourless toasted white bread with a tiny bit of caramel. Next come the woody resinous hops with a medium intensity bitterness. Easy to drink, half-refreshing, nothing problematic but overall very basic. Nothing memorable here but given that this is the first round of bottles from a brand new brewery I say that this is promising. I can name good many breweries that didn’t start that good. I can also name many established breweries that are still not that good. I can also name a few breweries where that do not offer any free parking but what would be pretty irrelevant.

Appearance: Amber, orange-like body that looks kind of hazy & murky with some sediment floating around. Lots of bubbles and a thick foamy white head. Smell: Tiny bit of pine, sign of hops. A bit of bitterness & grassy in nature but not much else. Aroma is kind of muted. Taste: Strongest point of the beer. A good tinge of hops presence but not too much. It leaves a nice mellow bitterness in the aftertaste. A bit malty around the edges with a fairly abrupt, clean finish. The last gulps have a bit of a mineral, earthen quality due to the lees. Mouthfeel: Good carbonation but a little watery though. Still smooth a bit but lacks texture a bit.
