500 ml from les halles de st-jean thx M-H A: roasty with some bitter chocolate. App : black with lasting beige head and good lacing. T/P: med to full body finish is bitter and long. Moderate carbonation. O: Good. Nothing extreme all within style.

Serviceable stout. All of the elements there: roast, chocolate, hops though faded in the finish. Dark colour. Drinkable stuff. Improvement: lighter body than the style warrants.

Poured from 500 ml bottle (with a top hatted beaver on the label rather than a moose). Quiet pour with mild carbonation and a robust roasted barley and coffee aroma. The beer is dark opaque with a rich tan head and good lace. It has a smooth roasted barley start with notes of dark chocolate expanding into the middle.Good length to the finish with coffee notes and a hint of hop dryness to add to the complexity. Mouthfeel is a bit thin for the style.

Pretty pour with a brown cap that lasts forever. Nose is toasted grain, molasses, chocolate, prunes. This stuff is surprisingly dry and not that sweet. It's also pretty light for an IS. Not much in the way of hops, save some mild bitterness, which is surprising for 65 IBU and relatively low alcohol. This ain't exactly blowing my skirt up, gentlemen. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours an opaque black letting nothing through and topped by two fingers of creamy mocha head leaving huge spotted lacing. The nose holds a mellow torrefaction paired with brown sugar, pepper and cilantro. The taste is unsweetened milk chocolate though a full body with a creamy feel. The bitterness comes through only at the end with a mild ticlke. The finish I would compare to a latte. Very appealing visually but a little too mellow. Still very drinkable. Cheers!

Un produit fort bien fait, sans défaut même... La café, la vanille et l’anis sont dominants mais pour le reste, c’est un brin conservateur.

Metalchopz (3474) - Cantley, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 23, 2015
Pours a dark brown colour with red highlights. Seems hazy. Beautiful creamy beige head that lasts long and gives out loads of lacing. Aromas of roasted malts, notes of molasses and raisins. The taste shows well the burnt malts with hints of chocolate. Decently hoppy with some grass. Body is kind of light for the style, so goes down easily and mouthfeel is a little oily. Not a bad impy stout !

Bouteille de 500ml, embouteillée le 2014-10-21. apparence : noire opaque et mousse cremeuse beige qui s’efface rapidement, effervescense moyenne, une bonne stout mais sans plus!
