4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bronzegolden colour. Great head and retention. Hops, spices and fruit in the nose. As with the Mc Chouffe, a very creamy feel in the mouth. Some sweetness of the yeast, hoppy citrus and more spices. Bitterness is nicely balanced. Bitter dry finish, but very subtle and lasting. Great Belgian strong ale.
Aroma is sweet, mainly intense candy sugar, very light spicy phenols with some lemon and barely noticeable earthy notes. Some coriander notes too. Very beautiful light amber cloudy brew with normal white head that lasts and laces beautifully. Taste is sweet and beautifully tart (towards lemony) and slowly a hoppy bitterness creeps in. Nice bitter aftertaste and light tart and minerally. Dry, medium body, light carb. Very good brew! roflorence (101) - South Perth, AUSTRALIA - JUN 23, 2017
Hazy, golden colour in the glass with a creamy white head. Orange/citrus on the nose with hints of coriander and bitter orange. Alcohol is disguised well considering the high ABV. Medium carbonation. KiranB (1) - SCOTLAND - JUN 14, 2017 does not count
P - Gnome logo looks traditional and slightly strange - probably wouldn’t of bought it if I hadn’t know about it previously.
A - Slightly hazy golden hue with a fairly quickly disappearing head that was initially thick and white.
S - Ripe stone fruit, orangey marmalade and citrus. Smells wheaty and not too far away from a witbier.
T - Smooth and sweet initially leading to a burst of yeasty ester fruit and slight alcohol burn. Finishing notes of coriander and orange. DoctorHU (520) - UKRAINE - JUN 10, 2017

Bottle. Foggy golden ale with tall long lasting white head. The aroma is lollipop malts, spicy yeast (especially coriander), minor funk. Medium body. The taste is pretty much the same. Medium dry to medium sweet. Light ending bitterness. This is a Belgian strong pale ale from the highest division. cmshaver (1) - St. Catharines, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 28, 2017 does not count
A nice golden honey hazy appearance. A little too sweet for my liking, but suiting the style well. A gorgeous Belgian. However, it was a little light in terms of carbonation. Sweet notes of orange, and bubblegum. With spice notes of clove and coriander. A pleastent (though small) aroma of yeast, spice and (even smaller) alcohol. Overall, not a terribly outstanding beer for me. However, it’s a perfect once in a while spring/summer beer. Will probably buy again at some point! NiklasT (33) - SWEDEN - MAY 26, 2017
Aroma not very dense but nice balance between fruit and the jeast. Great and still not very heavy taste. No surprise that this is one of the most popular Berts in Belgium. Excellent! yaff (34) - la fontalaye, FRANCE - MAY 26, 2017
D3 Rouen. Bière acidulée et fruitée, légèrement houblonnée, pétillante , dotée d’une bonne longueur en bouche. Un classique , une vraie référence. bdunhill23 (12) - - MAY 25, 2017
A good looking beer on the site but with a kick on the tongue it has a little too much flavor after the first taste. Not my favorite Belgian beer.
