Bottle - pours hazy light Orange with lacy white head. Marmalade, spice and sweet malt aroma. Sweet hint up front with a hit if the citrus and spice , transitions to a dry almost cider hit, then a sharp dry finish. Mouthfeel is creamy with a lively carbonation.

A nice golden honey hazy appearance. A little too sweet for my liking, but suiting the style well. A gorgeous Belgian. However, it was a little light in terms of carbonation. Sweet notes of orange, and bubblegum. With spice notes of clove and coriander. A pleastent (though small) aroma of yeast, spice and (even smaller) alcohol. Overall, not a terribly outstanding beer for me. However, it’s a perfect once in a while spring/summer beer. Will probably buy again at some point!

Aroma not very dense but nice balance between fruit and the jeast. Great and still not very heavy taste. No surprise that this is one of the most popular Berts in Belgium. Excellent!

D3 Rouen. Bière acidulée et fruitée, légèrement houblonnée, pétillante , dotée d’une bonne longueur en bouche. Un classique , une vraie référence.

A good looking beer on the site but with a kick on the tongue it has a little too much flavor after the first taste. Not my favorite Belgian beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

What's not to like about a beer like La Chouffe? Looks great and has a refreshing taste. A consistently good Belgian blonde. The alcohol strength is actually masked quite well. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A nice Belgian Blond that is relatively easy to find outside of Europe. Good taste, slightly lingering aftertaste. Quite enjoyable on a sunny warm day. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

La Chouffe blond is one of my favorite relatively easy to come by belgian blondes. Very true to style and very balanced for my palate. Furthermore, there is a gnome on the bottle. Delish.

Bottle with expiry date 07-2018. Light golden colour, hazy, small head that quickly disappears. Aroma is quite much apricot, plum, also some alcohol. Light bitterness. Lively carbonation. OK, but nothing spectacular.

Very classically Belgian. Light, golden colour. Some esters. Some fruity funk. Very light for 8%.

33 cl. bottle @ Home. Aroma: not very intense aromas of grains, cereals, slightly kilned malts. Hints of wheat, grapes, spices, citrus. No hints of alcohol. Appearance: straw to light golden color, slightly hazy, very high head thickness. Perfectly white head, made of big sized bubbles, very creamy. Medium Brussels’ lacing. Very high retention. Many tiny bubbles moving up from the bottom of the glass to the head. Taste: medium sweetness, low bitterness, low sourness. Pleasant flavors of malts, grains, cereals with hints of citrus, spices, fruits, grapes, caramel. Alcohol level is very well hidden and not noticeable. Balance is on the malts’ sweetness side. Palate: medium body, oily texture, medium carbonation, quite long sweet finish with flavors of slightly kilned malts, grains, cereals, with hints of spices, grapes, fruits, citrus peel. Overall: very refreshing and pleasant flavors. Excellent appearance and amazing retention. Alcohol not noticeable despite of its high level. Good aromas and flavors of slightly kilned malts, grains, cereals, malt sweetness, citrus peel, fruits, spices. Good beer.
