COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
La Choulette Ambrée is the classic amber version of a French bières de gardes. It has a wonderfully spicy aroma and is fullflavored, but effervescent and refreshing.

33cl @ bottle. Dalla Francia un’ambrata fruttata e dolce. Birra discreta anche se manca un po’ di coraggio.

Bottle pour at Jimmy's 43 battle of the Belgian event. Amber tan color with a easy palatable taste and a malty flavor

Buona birra.

UPDATED: OCT 14, 2016 Classic bière de garde from Valenciennes, with pale beige, mousse-like, perfectly regular, sticky head and deep, warm amber colour with pinkish hue, lively sparkling with tiny yeast particles floating everywhere. Aroma of walnuts, caramel, apple peel, nutmeg, earth, dried leaves, aniseed, cherry liqueur, sherry. Sweet fruity taste, hint of apple cider, strong carbonation, rounded and smooth mouthfeel, caramelly and nutty malts, spicy yeast, leafy and earthy hop bitterishness in the end where some of the initial sweetness also remains, some warming alcohol too. Excellent example of its style and one of the best French beers I’ve had so far.

Bottle, 33cL. Home. A clear dark brown beer with a big white head. Medium retention. Caramel aroma, licorice, herbs. Light bitter, medium sugary sweet. Body with some padding, medium texture and carbonation, sweet finish with a warming background. Overall, a delicious beer, nice aroma (licorice).

Dark ruby copper color with small off-white head. Aroma is caramel malt, dark berries, booze, and a hint of hay. Malty flavor, hint of funk, fermented fruits, yeasty spicyness. Slightly bitter lingering finish.

Bottle from ABC beers, BB 03 2015. Hazy copper pour, with floaties and thin rapidly receding head. Aroma is grainy, metallic, strong vegetal notes, oxidized to hell - cardboard and dusty aromas. Taste is sweet, cardboardy, sherry like. Is this still a year before it’s BB date for real? Gross.

33 cl. bottle. Clear orange colour with a white head. Aroma and flavour of malt, spice, bread, fruit and caramel.
