Pours clear golden with a big, frothy, white head. Aroma is malty, sweet with some notes of fruity oranges and brewing cereal. Fine, creamy mouthfeel. Sadly the flavour is marred by a clear vegetable note that overwhelms the notes of yeast and light caramel. Very sweet and not really my thing.
clear yellow, huge white head mild aroma, flowery, grassy in a nice way, slightly dry.flavor is dry, grassy , malty sweet. Too grassy. shrubber85 (11706) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - MAY 27, 2008

Cloudy orange/gold in colour. Aromas are sweet caramel malts and spices. Flavours have the same characteristics as the aroma with more spices and alcohol burn. Decent. KyotoLefty (10808) - Kyoto, JAPAN - DEC 7, 2008
Bottle in Paris, 2006.
Medium golden, very little head. Aroma of malt and yeast. Very malty, quite sweet flavor. Fruity. Some bitterness but not much. A touch strong. Something of that grassy, farmyard like taste that comes with other bieres de garde. Spicy. People talk about green apple. Is that what I taste? I don’t think so, but…
A slightly bitter finish. Interesting. I can’t really tell what these flavors are, but they are quite original. It is a touch too sweet for me, but good.
