750ml bottle on sale for $10. I was not sure what to expect from this beer but I was a little surprised how much I enjoyed it. It was a dark amber color with a good head. The smell was spicy and dusty, not bad. The taste was spices, dust almost like a dark saison but also made me think of Christmas spices which could be the power of suggestion at work. Overall I thought this was a good beer but I would not revisit it. I will however purchase their framboise next.

Pours unclear amber with a dense off-white head. Aroma is malt and light acidic. Flavour is sweet malt and light acidic notes. keepersj12 (3112) - Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA - JAN 26, 2010
The comments for this style say it is best when aged yet the bottle had a best before date on it. I’m confused if anyone out there can help me. I liked the beer and would get another for next Christmas if it would still be good. Help. Fruit smell of prunes and yeast. Flavor is caramel and a bit sour with a nice dryness to it. Very nice and refreshing in the mouth. stobbe74 (3789) - DENMARK - JAN 20, 2010
Sampled at DØE Beerfestival 2009, Esbjerg. Pours a hazy dark amber beer with an offwhite head. The aroma is weak with sweetness. The flavor is malt and sweetness. The palate is sweet. Overall a little bit boring.

Bottled. Poured dark caramel color with small head & lacing. Aroma was raisins, dark fruits and malts. Taste the same. Defreni (3153) - Husum, DENMARK - DEC 10, 2009
750, corked and caged. Pours a cloudy burnished medium amber with a dense, creamy, slightly sudsy tan head. Caramelly, slightly toffeeish nose with very rich notes of real butter cream. Not diacetyl butter--butter cream. Smells like some sort of insanely decadent pecan pastry. Not cloying, though, and, unfortunately, not quite dimensional enough to qualify as an exceptionally aromatic nose. Creamy medium body, very subdued carb. Caramel, cream, pecans, and a bit of toffee on the mid-palate, mild pastryish finish. Tasty, very holidayish, and something I would gladly serve to family and friends around a big ol’ turkey and ham. But not one that will haunt my dreams with memories of biere de garde pleasures. presario (4916) - Stampede City, Alberta, CANADA - OCT 14, 2009
Bottle. Dark amber. Thick head. Aroma is Biere de Garde cubed! Big caramel and hazelnut. Thick hazelnut, caramel and vanilla flavour with a lightly harsh candy finish. Intriguing Biere de Garde toffee candy effect. Take a bag home for Grandma. tomthompson89 (1982) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 7, 2009
