Bottled. Aroma has caramel malts, grassy hops and some fruits. Clear, amber coloured beer with a lasting, off-white head. The taste was sweet, with a little bitterness. It has caramel, fruity malts and grassy hops, some sugar. Okay. IlanMan (1015) - Appleton, Wisconsin, USA - APR 26, 2009
Bottle. Pour was brown/ruby. Aroma was lightly toasted malt with light caramel and some light cherry notes. Flavor was well blended with some slight must and hay in the back. Good brew. durhambeer (2500) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - APR 11, 2009
Bottle. Pours medium brown with reddish tiny. Malty flavors, caramel and toffee. Definite spice, even if hard to distinguish what they are. Bottle seemed past it’s prime. Smelled moldy and musty at first, but better as it warmed. Not bad at all. charlotte (5387) - rødovre, DENMARK - MAR 15, 2009

Brewed in France....... Pours a amber color with a off white head. Aroma of caramel, malts, and figs. Taste of caramel popcorn, sweet malts and nutmeg. The mouthfeel is sticky sweet and easy to drink. I was expecting more form this brew but overall it is well balanced. afireinside96 (923) - Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 8, 2009
750ml bottle shared by BeerGestapo, thanks Mike. Poured with a dark amber body topped by a lasting large khaki head. It both smelled and tasted like Cracker Jacks, that it to say caramel and roasted nuts. Semi-sweet but not sticky or cloying. ROGUE (2215) - Lewes, Delaware, USA - JAN 7, 2009
750ml bottle. Poured a nice golden dark copper color, some carbonation, tiny fizzy off white head. The nose is malty, slight yeast, figs, raisins, plums, and some caramel. The taste is sweet, malty yeasty, with some dark fruits thrown in, and caramel. Medium body. Very easy drinking brew.

Aged bottle (best before 1993?) at Den Stillen Genieter. Red colour, lots of sediment, small tan head. Cellar and fruit aroma. Dry, dusty flavours with port and fruit in the background. Body has become lighter with the years. A classic that ages well. thegreenrooster (4402) - St.louis, Missouri, USA - DEC 19, 2008
Pour is a copper with a large white head. Aroma is caramel with some chocolate and some dark fruit. Flavor is nutty with rosted malt and some mustyness. Some bready malts are left on the tounge after the swallow. Not you typical BDG but i thought it was quite tasty.
