Lightly hazy brown body with a fizzy dirty tan and white head. The aroma is sweet and dusty. Caramel and lots of yeast. The flavor is much the same,. Harshness in the aftertaste. Acidic and sweet. Ok but not real great. DavidP (1748) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 31, 2005
Bottle shared by Blake. Clear brown body with a thin ring of white bubbles. Dusty limestone and light hops in the aroma. Brown malt and musty dry hops round out the flavor. npdempse (934) - St. Petersburg, Florida, USA - DEC 27, 2005
Red/brown with a good-sized white head. Sulphury, earthy nose with notes of caramel, strawberries, and prunes. Light flavor, musty, somewhat sweet, with some fruity (strawberry, cherry notes) overlaid by a musty bitterness. luckygirl (1223) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JAN 15, 2006
Had this at BJ’s Winter Ale Fest. Beer poured a clear, dark amber color wth an average, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing head. The aroma was pretty plain jane: moderately malty with notes of roasted grain and caramel with light miscellaneous notes of clove, coriander, trace raisin. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter with an average-length finish that ends with an increasing amount of bitterness until it ends with a heavily bitter pop. There is an unfortunate unclean flavor here too. The body was medium-to-full, the texture was creamy, the carbonation was soft and there was a light alcoholic burn. Had during a beer tasting party. Poured reddish brown and tastes of sweet broth.
Not really the most enjoyable to me.

Hazy amber coloured with an off white head.
Aroma of malts, caramel and spices.
Sweet flavour of malts, caramel and spices. jcr (2726) - Jasper, Indiana, USA - DEC 18, 2010
750 ml. Deep amber body with a big, frothy, foamy off-white head. The head slowly subsides to fizzy pools. Malty aroma with notes of cookie and caramel and a backbone of yeasty earthiness, though not pronounced. The flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter and lightly acidic. It finishes moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic and lightly bitter. Medium body, watery texture and lively carbonation. Aroma is better than flavor with its muted spice flavors and a grain bill that seems in competition with them. The finish is close to unpleasant, leaving a lingering taste of raw grain in the mouth and in the mouthfeel. NikkTwist (3307) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 2, 2013
Bottle at Farmers Cabinet. Slightly hazy dark orange pour. Foamy off-white head. Very little aroma (when cold at least.) Muted mellow Christmas brew. Roasted chestnuts. Appears to be a witbier hiding beneath a now more golden Noel ale. Fluffy red fruit. Golden raisins. Vanilla malt. Juicy but notably muted back end. evergreen0199 (3460) - Northwood, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 27, 2013
Bottle bought at Cite Europe, Calais, France. An amber coloured pour with a medium white head on top.Fruity, malty aroma. Tastes fruity, malty, caramel, spice. Wouldn’t call this a Christmas beer though. Rasmus40 (21695) - Beder, Aarhus, DENMARK - DEC 24, 2013
