   AROMA 2/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 2/10   PALATE 1/5   OVERALL 3/20

Man this is not good. Aroma is of raspberry candy syrup, almost no discernable beer character. Appearance is a reddish brown with a pink head that fades to nothing in a flash. Taste is worse than the aroma. Raspberry is initially ok then immediately turns to syrup and cloying sweetness. Palate seems dry until the sweetness takes over and it turns to cloying crap. I wouldn’t drink this again if you paid me.

Poured at Shelton Festival, cloudy pink orange with large off white head. The aroma is berry and floral. Medium body, jammy berry, oak, light finish, very good.

Ar: Tart raspberry, with a hint of tannic seeds; a touch of sugary simple syrup. Ap: Deep red and clear; medium off-white head with a slight pink tint; good retention, leaves a smallish cap of foam and suds, with a finely bubbled ring. T: Low sweetness with a pronounced raspberry note; a little artificial tasting, but there are some nice seed and tannins too, which keep it tasting somewhat of fresh fruit; very low bitterness, no hop flavor; finish is raspberry seeds and slight woodsiness. P: Medium-light body with high carbonation, finish is medium-dry. O: A solid fruit beer; the raspberry is definitely there, and there is enough sweetness and body to support and enhance the fruit flavor; otherwise, the beer is fairly plain, though solid enough and refreshing.

Aroma is of semi sweet raspberry and a moderate funk. Slightly putrid. Flavor is nice and sour with red berries. Finishes similar to Chinese sweet and sour sauce

This was poured into a becher pint glass. The appearance was a hazy burnt amber color with a lasting one finger white foamy head that dissipated at a nice pace. The aroma has mainly the sweet and the tart raspberry, fully authentic, even with that dry seediness to it. The flavor is the same, dry with the seedy authentic raspberry. Subtle grassy funk after a bit of warming. Light raspberry aftertaste, same subtle finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a nice sessionability about it. Carbonation hits just right. Nice enough for the tart to hit my tongue. Overall, as a fruit beer, this is a great one of you like real raspberry. I’d have again.

Pours a nice blush brown from a bottle. Big nose of raspberry/strawberry, a little jammy rather than fresh fruit. Flavor is pretty much the same. Light/thin mouthfeel. Good beer.

11.2 ounce bottle poured into a brandy snifter. The beer is a hazy, darker amber color with a beige head of foam that dissipates quickly. The aroma is very jammy. Lots of raspberry character. Some funk comes through in the aroma, but in the taste, I get mostly a jammy sweetness. Medium body and some moderate carbonation.

Bottle in Fl. Very sweet aroma. Raspberry flavor is not too sweet. Good carbonation. Enjoyed more than expected after initial whiff.

Red-pink pour. Nose is rotten fruits and vegetables. Taste is light raspberries, sugar.

Sampled from a 750 ml bottle from notes. Pours an amber/reddish/purple color with a small pinkish head. The aroma and flavor have sweet raspberries, mildly tart, a touch of bitterness, the aroma and flavor are decent, thinner and almost a touch watery in mouth feel. Good, not great.

"well, i kinda like this one better than most here. smells of fresh picked raspberries. the look and feel are about what’s expected of the style, but it’s not over bubbly like Lindeman’s and some others can be. the flavor is quite nice as well. Lots of raspberries, but not so sweet you can’t tell it’s a beer. Dry bittersweet smooth finish, like chocolate dipped berries. nice after dinner sipper."
