(now brewed/contract brewed? at les deux frères) pours clear very pale yellow with a low and bubbly white head, no lacing per say. almost crisp pale malts, cereals - maybe a bit of corn, lightly peppery and grassy, faint fruitiness - unidimensional flavors, hint of sweetness - honey. average carbonation - prickles a bit, light body - nearly watery, bland grassy-herbal finish. at least, it tastes better than when i had it few years back, i.e. non skunky, and there seems to be a better control in regards to process. but overall, this is quite bland and already forgotten.

(Rating #4785)

Bottle: Poured a pale golden color lager with a large pure white foamy head with light retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of grainy cereal notes with some unrefined notes. Taste is somewhat harsh with unrefined grainy cereal notes. Body is light with medium carbonation. Quite messy beer at the end of the day which makes me long for macros.

Bottle (500 ml). Shared by Minderbinder, thanks Francis! Crystal clear yellow with a small white head and no lacing. Aroma and taste of skunk, corn, pilsner malt and grassy notes. Mouthfeel is watery. Not good, even for a pale lager.

Standard run of the mill golden ale. Pale malts, pale cereals, next to no hops..... Slightly grassy. It’s not great but nowhere near as bad as the ratings would suggest.

Bottle - 500ml. Pale yellow, piss-like body with heavy carbonation and a thin white foamy head. Thin malty/hoppy aroma with corny and grassy hints. Taste is dominated by herbal flavors. It carries strange chemical notes and ends with a short bitter/herbal finish.

500 ml bottle from Broue Ha Ha, served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass.

App.: Clear yellow with a fair, frail white head. Aroma: Sulphur and Noble hops, like a Pilsner, pale malt/cereal, grass, hay, a touch peppery, quite nice. Palate: Medium body, fairly full, fine, prickly effervescence. Flav.: Like the nose, with plenty of sulphur and grassy/hay-like Noble hops, a bit more cereal/light malt, lightly peppery, maybe a little fruity (appropriate for the label label, not for the ratebeer style); dry with nice bitterness and a grassy, lightly fruity finish.

As a Blonde Ale, quite good. As a Pale Lager, too much fermentation character. Either way, tasty.
