Tall boy can from Quality Liquor in Roswell. Hazy amber, with a little white head. Fruity aroma, a little citrusy. Smooth and mildly bitter. Nice.

On tap at Falling Rock, pours a clear copper with a medium white head. Aroma brings out a wonderful fresh piney hop character and a dry biscuity malt backing. Flavour is clean as well, with tons of piney hops, some hop oils and biscuity malt. So piney and dry, with a wonderfully oily palate. Wonderful stuff.

Poured from a can into a pint glass, a clear orange amber colour with off-white foam. True-to-style A-IPA, ticks all the right boxes which explains the GABF win, but honestly I think it’s no better than so many from Stone, Rogue, 4Hands, Oskar Blues, Sierra Nevada, Bell’s, Green Flash, Great Divide, Lagunitas...the list goes on and on. Rich malt sweetness, some caramel plus massive American hops: grapefruit, pine, dak weed, melon, tropical fruit, peppery, grassy. Undoubtedly bitter but not harsh, loads of fresh hop flavour and aroma. Medium body and carbonation, slight alcoholic warmth, lingering hoppy aftertaste. Good but perhaps overrated.

16oz can from the Proper Pour at the Source in Denver. Best by 7/20 date. A bit of a white whale for all of us. Coppery orange pour with a white head leaving a lot of clingy lace. Fairly citrusy bitter with some tangy fruit and a malty backbone. Medium bodied. Little alcohol presence. The blend was just ok, and really that was a bit of the problem with high expectations. Not as clean as hoped. Finishes fairly bitter. Wanted it to be great, but it was just solid. 14

Pours a slightly hazy, bright golden orange color with a one finger white foam head that quickly settles into a lasting ring. Decent retention with some spotty lacing left behind. Floral perfume-y aroma with sweet booze and a prominent citrus/ tropical fruit presence. Slightly grassy and resinous but the booze and fruit sweetness dominate. Hints of papaya, grapefruit and orange zest along with some resinous oils, pine needle and fresh cut grass. A bit one dimension but still smells pretty good. Medium body with some dry, grassy bitterness which is stronger than the aroma suggests. Crisp with earthy and grassy saaz-like hops countered by tropical fruit sweetness and a pale malt backbone. Lots of pineapple and grapefruit with some orange peel and lemon juice. Pale biscuit malt backbone with hints of bread and graham cracker. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Lots of pinecone and potpourri here like your aunt’s cabin in the mountains. Quite bitter. Definitely elevated. Pours golden with good head and lacing. Good balance. Pineapple. Tap at Savor.

473ml can (thanks VastActive). Clear amber color. Medium size, white head, stays. Citrus, floral, fruity, spruce and sweet in aroma. Citrus, caramel, floral, fruity, spruce, sweet in taste. Medium carbonation. Perfect fresh juicy bitterness. Very drinkable. Wouldn’t say it’s 7.2% abv. Very solid brew.
