4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
pint can as a nice extra from my buddy deftim. thanks, tim! pours a clear, pale gold capped by a fluffy, dense white head that leaves soapy rings of lace. aroma is great with big citrus notes of lemon zest, oranges, limes, and white grapefruit backed by pine resins, grass, and subtle, sweet florals. flavor is absolutely excellent with a blast of tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, and pear skins up front backed by a hefty dose of bitter hop resins, grass, herbs, and biscuits. palate is medium bodied with smooth carbonation and a great, dry, bitter finish. overall, a definite world class ipa and i dig the pint can.
16oz can. 7/4/17 can date. Appearance: Deep golden orange, mostly clear with a light haze, and a moderate thick foam head and decent lacing.
Aroma: Dank, resinous, grassy hop aroma dominates, with a touch of grapefruit pulp and toasted malt.
Taste: Bready, caramel maltiness with a touch of toast turns spicy and grassy resin and a strong bitter finish with some grapefruit.
Mouthfeel: Medium to heavy bodied for the style, with a moderate carbonation.
Finish: Dry, sticky resinous bitterness remains on the tongue long after the swallow. Touch of toasted malt comes back retronasally.
Overall: Well made take on a true traditional American IPA. Has the resinous grapefruit character against a strong malt base that brings the body and balance of a traditional AIPA as opposed to West Coast evergreen0199 (3441) - Northwood, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 22, 2017
Cask at The Great British Beer Festival 2017, Olympia, London. A golden/amber coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, tropical fruit, grapefruit, pine on the nose. Tastes hoppy, tropical fruit, grapefruit, pine, quite bitter. Very tasty IPA from La Cumbre, had good stuff from this brewery. MrTipple (5492) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 13, 2017

Clear copper pour with nice big white head. Good nose of citrus and touch of caramel. Flavor is a boost of hops that mellows out to a nice balance of malt. Scopey (15263) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 9, 2017
Cask gravity at GBBF. It pours clear copper with a small bubbly white head. The aroma is rich, sticky, oily, resin, pine, stewed orange, peachy, dank and leather. The taste is bitter, pine, resin, stickiness, oily, slick, alcohol sting, grapefruit, peppery spice, some sticky dank notes with a drying and resinous finish. Medium+ body, low carbonation and oily mouth - feel. Pretty punchy stuff. Good fun.

Cask at The Great British Beer Festival 2017, Kensington Olympia. Pleasant golden ale. Lots of mellow hops and a good malty backbone. miniash891989 (134) - - AUG 8, 2017
Cask at GBBF17. Copper appearance malty with a lasting malty palate. Coats the tongue. Not alarmingly pleasing

Fairly typical clean citrussy fruity hop aroma. Full palate. Toffee malts, citrussy hops. Pleasant bitterness. Very drinkable IPA. Alcohol kept reined in too. Solid.
Fresh growler from the brewery after a long day, mostly driving, visiting Mesa Verde. Overall a bitter IPA with buckets of pine resin. Dank earth too. Lots of lacing left on the glass. Really not that punishing bitter for 100 IBUs. Nice enough. ZacM612 (748) - San Antonio, Texas, USA - JUL 9, 2017
Tall boy can from Quality Liquor in Roswell. Hazy amber, with a little white head. Fruity aroma, a little citrusy. Smooth and mildly bitter. Nice.
