Bottle at WTF V. Pours black with medium tan head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is roast, wood, char, smoke, cocoa. Medium body, dark chocolate, roasted malt, wood, char, boozy finish, very good. zoucrew102 (2312) - - JAN 10, 2017
Bomber, 2016 vintage. Rich roasted malt aroma with burnt sugar, dark fruit, dark chocolate, whiskey and a little vanilla. Pours black with a thin mocha brown head that has little retention and some lacing. Starts with rich roasted malt and bitter dark chocolate as well as some dark fruit sweetness. It also has a nice, full body and smooth creamy mouthfeel. Finishes quite smooth with burnt sugar and warming whiskey, vanilla and a hint of booze. Really nice! onceblind (11147) - Denver, Colorado, USA - OCT 6, 2016
Inky black pour with a thin light tan head, and a bold thick nose of oak, light whiskey tones, roasted black malt, licorice, molasses, and bittersweet dark cocoa. Smooth and dark roasty malty flavor that’s more bready than I thought it would be, followed by some whiskey nuances, lots of oak and booze, dark cocoa, and a chewy boozy body. Really pleasant and flavorful and dark. Semisweet overall with whiskey and oak tones building up a chewy, malty, dark cocoa body. ajnepple (7564) - Lakewood, Colorado, USA - OCT 5, 2016
On tap at Hops & Pie. Black appearance with a small brown head. Aroma of dark chocolate, burnt roasted malt, licorice, coffee, light oak, light molasses and a touch of dark fruit. Similar flavor, with a full body and a lingering licorice finish. Solid RIS overall. Chuck725 (9) - Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA - MAY 31, 2015 does not count
Wonderful chocolate nose. Coats the tongue like oil. Bursts of burnt sugars and raisin. Delicious beer.

Bomber - pours black as night with a light brown head. Wonderful aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, raisins, wet leaves and licorice. A mouthful is rich, coating, complex and lasting. Great flavors include espresso, dark chocolate, licorice, aged wood, cola and prunes. So smooth, rich and delicious. ketchepillar (1210) - Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA - DEC 13, 2014
Beer #81 of NM 100. 2013 batch. Whoa smoke. I like it but is was unexpected. Ok, as i get further in it seems less smokey. Lots and lots of chocolate. Some nice piny hops in the finish. maltman53 (472) - Corrales, New Mexico, USA - OCT 23, 2014

Not much on the nose, but wow, the palate is like freebasing raisonettes and melted black licorice. A huge beer. Licorice. Chocolate. Caramel. Overall, a great beer.
La Cumbre does it again! Wow! Poors dark and thick. Extremely smooth for the high ABV. Dark chocolate opening with a coffee finish. ANOTHER GREAT NM BEER from La Cumbre.
