22oz bomber. Filtered ruby-red/brown body. Thin, glass lacing beige head. Full bodied, rich pumpkin beer. Pretty much nails it for the style, big without being Imperial or overwhelming. Really tasty malt notes. The spice is there, but nothing overboard, more of a balancing agent. I don’t get a ton of pumpkin, but I’d guess that is what smooths out the body. : Not a big fan of pumpkin beer. This one appears to be a pale ale as a base beer, with fresh pumpkin puree (is that an oxymoron?) added to a very nice balance. Overall, still not a fan of pumpkin beer.
On draught at Slice Parlor - Albuquerque. Bounds a clear dark amber with slight head. Intense nufmeg aroma. Medium body, underlying hop bitterness, slightly sweet rich maltiness. Pronounced spicdst, seemingly nutmeg, dominate any pumpkin character.

Growler pours with a clear amber body with copper hues and supporting a thin tan head of foam. The aroma is nice and pumpkin like along with malt sweetness and cinnamon graham cracker. The taste delivers thick sweet malts moving into pumpkin and some semi bright winter spiciness. Darn nice brew.

on tap at the brewery. Clear amber in colore with average-sized off-white head. Good lacing throughout. Aroma is completely dominated by pumpkin and spices. Medium bodied with creamy mouthfeel. Ruby red. Aroma: clove, cinnamon, and some rum raisin. Flavor: quite a bit of clove. I’m not particularly in tune with pumpkin flavors, but there is some. More on the spice end for sure. UPDATED: MAR 13, 2013 creamy pumpkin pie nose, soft, earthy, doughy, rock solid tight carbonation to match the acid and body. medium-light pulp and high pumpkin spice / allspice / nutmeg leaves mouth tingling and peppery, bit over done here but the balance / body outweighs an excessive flavor or two.
