Backlog. Smells like raspberries soaked for some time in alcohol plus some chocolate. Moderate sweet.

Complex, dense, concentrated and superbly integrated yo the point where virtually ebery element can be identified for what it brings to the beer but at the same time it vreates a single harmonios flavout all on its own of cakey black forrest gateaux. Amd the 14% ABV is supsrbly well hidden.

Bottle, 33cL. @Naintre, France. Shared with my dad. A shining black beer with an average beige head ; short retention ; ok lacing. Roast, red berries (raspberry), herbal and dark chocolate notes. Medium round sweet, light warming background, light dry bitter. Good elegant body, light to medium oily texture, soft carbonation, fruity roasty warming finish. Overall, delicious !

Zwart bier met beige schuimkraag. Geur: fruitig, kruidig. Zachte koolzuurprikkel. Super complex bier, en het werkt! Chapeau, respect!

Small beige head over virtually black beer. Intense nose with fruit, chocolate and horse (sic). After some time, raspberryfragrance becomes obvious. Roastedand sweetish aromas. Sweet & bitter chocolate pralines with cherry (and raspberry) ganache filling. Point of coffee. Bitter almonds remain hidden to me. Faint fruity acidity. Well bodied, without becoming thick or cloying. Good, if visually imperceptible carbonation, slick to viscous. Very good one. Excellent combination of the fruit and the roast from the stout.

Donkere bijna zwarte kleur zonder echte schuimkraag. Vrij dun.

Bottle opened with very high expectations, reviewing the last 2 ratings and having sat on these bottles for months now. Shared with Aminatchime. Pours black, bit light comes trough. Small , bit darker head. Smell is weird, fruityness really collides with the roastyness. taste is rather intense. Raspberrys set of the taste. Cherries are very much in the back. the fruityness is very nice, gives some sweetness, but remains balanced. Maltyness is more to the background. easy drinker, like a 8-ish ABV beer. Not nearly thick enough for the style or the ABV. I wouldn’t agree calling this an Impial stout. This is a fruitbeer, with black malts. Kinda sad it isn’t the huge thick stout I hoped for, but it’s a nice beer nevertheless.

Deep brown body, small lasting brownish head. Very complex aroma, roasted malt, coffee, cherries, wood, almond, alcohol, vanilla, cocoa, sometimes chocolate, some red fruits notes, probably from the raspberries. Flavours as complex, roasted malt, coffee, cheries, cocoa, wood, vanilla, redfruits (raspeberries I guess), more cherries. Alcohol gives a cherry liquor flavor too. Long cocoa and cherry finish, not too sweet. End up with some bitterness and dry. Cherry and cocoa aftertaste. Outstanding beer, full of complexity, not cloying, balanced. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
