330ml bottle @Cimmeria, Oviedo. 08-11-2017.

Bought @Brasserie La Debauche, Angouleme, August 2017.

Batch: Lot104.

In short: vinous robust dark boozy ale.

Did I enjoy it: yes.

Pours black with some garnet reflections. Short head retention, little lacing. Wood and vinous aromas, some roasted notes. Medium body, soft carbonation, viscous texture. Taste is wood, boozy, roasty, red wine notes, quite viscous and some acid notes. Quite well integrated. Enjoyable.

Classic, exemplary baltic porter. Some time has passed since my last Ragnar by Trzech Kumpli, but as far as my tongue remembers, this is something very close to. Chocolate, rape fruits, delicate roast, sweetness. Lacks more thickness, malt base, maybe any aggressiveness.

W aromacie charakterystyczną nutą jest lekko zwietrzała kawa. Piwo mętne, brunatne. W smaku oprócz strychowego, kawowego kurzu trochę piwnicznych nut. Poza tym czekoladowe, nawet mocno. Średnio ciężkie. Mogłoby być 0,5 spokojnie. Niezłe.

Palony, wytrawny. Aromat to kawa i czekolada plus skórka od chleba. Smak pumpernikiel, gorzka czekolada, mocna kawa, skórka od chleba. Aksamitny.

33cl bottle purchased @ Mille et une bières Cormontreuil. Robe noire avec mousse brune très fine. Malts torréfiés, noisettes grillées. Assez crémeuse avec un final sur le réglisse.

10%ABV. Imperial Baltic porter.

Poured out near black. 38ºSRM.

Nose has honeyed dates, ume, brandies cherries, very ripe black cherries.

Mouthfeel is honeyed water, juicy. Palate is sour and fruity. Hop flavors are woody, charcoal, but the the enduring finish flavor is dry and ume.

Bottle from Terre de Boissons Calais and drunk at home. Black dark brown beer lasting tan head. Dark chocolate cake. . Damn i love this brewery. All their beers are just so damn well made whatever the style. Some date some molasses. Oily but sponge as well. Lovely beer.
