LCI. Uit de fles geschonken. Een wat ongepolijste cognac BA barley, zoet-bitter, redelijk wat alcohol (cognac) houtsmaak. Iets subtieler en hij is echt goed.

UPDATED: AUG 20, 2017 Complex, srong and woody. A rich taste and nice alcohol notes. Sweet, wood and alcohol aroma. Tastes woody and alcoholic. Gets less harsh as it warms up.

Bottled. 15cl sample. The aroma has caramel, lots of dried fruits/raisins and wood. bit hazy, brown coloured beer with a thin head. The taste is sweet, with caramel/raisin, hint of vanilla, wood, little booze. Very full, nice one!

Lots of dried fruits in nose including figs, dactyls, raisins, prunes, peach and apricot. Some caramel and wood as well. Pours dark brown with nice white lacy head. Taste is sweet with caramel, figs, raisins, dactyls, prunes, peach, apricot, again very fruity with subtle woody notes. Medium herbal bitter finish, average body, soft carbonation. Overall very good sipper, the barrel is there but not overwhelming great base beer.

larsga (7608) - Oslo, NORWAY - AUG 6, 2017
Small beige head. Barely translucent deep dark red body. Funky earthy aroma with dirty roasty notes. I can’t name it, but the aroma is typical of dark beers which have been in wine barrels. Sweet dirty herbal taste with earthy roasty notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, flat mouthfeel. Sweet herbal roasty aftertaste with earthy notes. Weird flavour with surprisingly little complexity. Very hard to like this beer. (0.33l bottle, not sure where from.)

pjotrapostou (274) - POLAND - JUL 21, 2017
Dosc slodkie i likierowe w zapachu, smak tez z poczatku slodki, suszone owoce, po chwili wchodzi mocna goryczka i zostawia mocno gorzki posmak. Struktura gladka i oleista, beczka na granicy autosugestii.
