UPDATED: FEB 24, 2018 0,33 cl V&B Augny (57). Mousse fine, beige, vite dissipée. Robe ambrée, trouble. Nez : malt, fruits secs, caramel. Attaque sur l’amertume. Bouche : raisin, houblon, épices. Final sur l’amertume. En conclusion, avis mitigé avec cette amertume qui l’emporte , donnant un ensemble déconcertant.

Pours hazy brown with small white head, aroma is cognac, fruits (apples), prunes, raisins, sweet. Taste is cognac, bitter, wine-ish. Mouthfeel is fantastic. Long finish.

@ Beerlovers Bar Aroma is cognac, prunes and raisins. Taste is harsh, little bit painful. Cognac. Too straightforward cognac. Dry mouthfeel. Powerplay aftertaste. A tad over the top. Boozy. Intriguing.

UPDATED: FEB 9, 2018 Mooi robijnrood met fijne witte schuimkraag. Aardbei, confituur, beetje kersen. Hele droge, medium bittere, afdronk. Mooie barley-wine met meer het accent op het bittere/droge dan op het zoetere.

Bottle from V & B, 11 Rue de Rabion, A cote d'Aldi, 16000 Angouleme, Charente-Maritime, France. Hazy dark amber-brown coloured with a thick white head of foam. It has an oak, dried fruit and spicy cognac flavour with vanilla and smooth chocolate on the warming, spicy, slight herbal fruity finish. Very good.

minutemat (6373) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - FEB 7, 2018
330ml bottle from V&B Annecy. Pours a hazed brown, small off-white head. Aroma of grainy sweet malt. Taste presents a lot of maltloaf, dried currants and a faint cognac influence. Light body, fairly smooth, a touch drying, hiding the alcohol well. Not really the beer I expected, but it's pleasant.

Laharem (122) - POLAND - FEB 1, 2018
Kolor bursztynowo-brązowy, całkiem obfita, drobnopęcherzykowa piana. Aromat całkiem przyjemny, karmel, ciemne owoce, wanilia, czuć beczkę. W smaku dosyć słodko, karmel, ciemne owoce, trochę beczki. Alkohol niewyczuwalny. Na podniebieniu i końcu języka zostaje bardzo nieprzyjemna, zalegająca gorycz. Lekki zawód.

Flesje van wijnhuis Blerick. Bruinrode kleur, mooi kraag. Ruikt moutig, donker fruit. Smaakt donkermoutig, beetje hout, vaag zurig, sterke nasmaak.

oberschlesier (241) - Kattowitz, UPPER SILESIA, - JAN 14, 2018
Aroma: delicate honey notes, malts, caramel, cognac barrels, wine. Taste: sweet and a bit sourness of wine, fine, refreshing. Head is very nice with lacing, carbonation is low to average.
