COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With a beautiful copper color, this English-style beer with aromas of caramel malts and roasted malt wraps. A beer round but still digestible whose resinous hop flavors unfold in the final.

on tap on the premises. unclear and almost hazy copper orange pour, red tint, with a very creamy beige head offering good rétention and lacing. coffee berry maltiness, spicy red specialty malts, some never annoying caramel, fun herbal grassy nobleness, relatively clean english yeast. moderate carbonation, light body - not watery, dry and gently earthy grassy finish. pretty nice mild.

On tap at the source.
Deep brown toffee head. Rich caramel and pitted fruits. Not a style I gravitate towards but this is well made.

My Bottom Line:

Earthy hops and yeast swirl around lenient caramel malts leading to green, leafy bitterness.

Further Personal Perceptions:

-A slice of foam sits atop the muddy red.

-The hoppy finish is agreeable.

-The earthiness is so expressive it almost vears into mushroom territory.

-The malts do contribute toast and a little caramel but they aren’t as well defined as I like them to be in a Mild Ale (dark or not).

On tap at the brewpub.

On tap at brewpub. A slightly hazy ruby/dark amber with a nice white head that leaves a pretty lacing. Aroma is faint toasty malt. Flavor is caramel, dark red berries and toast. Finish is earthy and herbal. Light body, watery mouthfeel, average carbonation. Alright.

On tap at La Fabrique,summer2012.color is a hazy amber with a nice off wihte head. The aroma is mild, hops and malt. The taste is bitter of hops with the roasted malt, plus the taste of red fruits berries. The finish has that mix of bitterness with the added sweetness of the fruits.

(Rating #4546)

In short: A light basic fruity amber ale, ok

How: Tap at brewpub

The look: Almost clear copper body topped by a small beige head

In long: The light nose has some fruity and slightly woody hops. Taste is rather fruity with berries, red apple skin and other various types of red fruits, even strawberries. Finish is also fruity, after taste has some residual sugars with only a light resinous woody hops presence. I’m not one to put down a beer because it is a light beer but this Mild Ale was clean and easy to drink but it didn’t offer a lot of taste buds stimulus. Finish was as short as a star trek episode staring only people in red shirts.
