COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Clear dark ruby, copper. Off white lasrting, lacing foam head. Light hoppy aroma, some citrus notes. Quite a complex taste, bittterness and light caramel. SOme smoked in aftertaste. Nice. (Velp 201602)

Bottle at home. Slight hazy mahogany with beige head. Lots of spices up front with cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and so on. Caramel, raisins, and some brown bread. Medium sweet and spicy bitter finish. Medium bodied with nice mouth coating carbonation. Bit too much spices.

erickok (6036) - Leuven, BELGIUM - OCT 11, 2015
Brown body, beige head. Amber, biscuit, marzipan, cinnamon, anise. Alcohol heat galore, really dominates the taste. Also some brown sugar, burned malts. Spicy ending, harsh. Not sure what they were after here... There seems to be no plan or direction in this brew. (33cl bottle from Prik&Tik Leuven)

Zupastan (160) - Kortrijk, BELGIUM - SEP 25, 2015
33 cl bottle @ home. Murky brown beer with a big, white head, adhesive. Aroma is very floral (lavender?), herbs, raisins, overripe fruits. Rather high carbonation. Taste is again very floral (lavender again?), pretty herbal, fruity, hoppy bitterness. Aftertaste is alcohol, herbs and a long lasting weird bitterness. It tastes slightly bitter than it smells, but I’m not a fan.

330 ml. bottle sampled @ 20ste Zomerbierfestival. Dark brown, tanned head. Nose is big spices & sweet air refresher,… Odd. Taste is big herbal, liquorish, very sweet spices, lots of perfume, dark fruits,… Lightly fizzy & liquorish body. Odd but okay.
