Shared with wim at my home. Clear goldblond colored beer with large white head and lots of carbonation. Herby cooked vegetable aroma. Medium sparkling palate. Finish is herby sour dry.

La chope du lug, Lyon 330ml: pours hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma is very herbal and what I can only imagine is chartreuse. In fact it smells a bit like one of those very medecinal ginger beers... Only without the ginger punch. Actually it kind of tastes like it too. Herbal and perhaps a wee bit sour in the end. Strange. Not exactly good, but strange. Maybe this taste really appeals to people...

Decidement les bières aromatiques ne sont pas faites pour moi... Au nez et en bouche on retrouve assez les notes de Chartreuse mais le tout mêlé à la biere ne fait vraiment pas bon office.

Hazy yellow body and stable white pillowy head. Herbal aroma, dry thyme, orange peel, light white bread malts. Herbal bitterness, à light one, dominates the taste. Luckily a smooth body, to bring this beer back to the ’tasty’ realm. Still can’t help but feel this is not necessary. Why this spiced liquor? What’s wrong with the spicy taste of yeast and malts? (33cl bottle from Au Nom De La Bière)
