Vraiment pas terrible, très peu de gout, fade, pas longue en bouche... Juste raffraichissante

Here we go - the rating that puts this beer on the percentile list! Head is slow to form, but once it does, it’s quite solid. Body is a foggy light orange. Aroma is an odd mix of detergent and malt, artificial powder and other weird stuff that just doesn’t seem right, like someone dropped one of your grandfather’s breath mints into the brew. The taste isn’t as bad, but it’s a mix of malt and wheat adjuncts, the fake witbier chemicals that the big supermarkets use. Like, seriously? This sucks. Dudes, get yourself a microbrewery, don’t waste my time with the fake chemicals.

Slightly hazy straw-gold body with fluffy white head. Aroma is REALLY wheaty/cereal-like upfront (Weetbix?), subtle spice and ripe fruit take a back seat. Reasonably low carbonation, drying texture, good full length. Wheat malt body, fair bit of clove-like phenolics, subtle citrus undertones. Dry finish, bit chalky, low bitterness. A decent blond, probably a bit uncharacterful and malt-driven for my liking.

Bottled. A hazy golden beer with an off-white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of malt, spices, fruit, and perfume. The flavor is sweet with ntoes of malt, spices, and fruit, leading to a dry spice finish.

Bottle, 5.8%. Spicy aroma, a little farty, hint of orange juice. Cloudy orange colour. Big stable white head. The flavour is distinctly clovey. Medium bitterness, slightly rough.

Cloudy golden with medium off white head. Aroma is yeasty with mild spicy notes. Sweet fruity flavour with yeasty and caramel notes. Ends sweet.

Papsoe (25062) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - AUG 7, 2008
(Bottle 33 cl) Courtesy of fiulijn. Pours a hazy pale golden with a tall and frothy very white head leaving laces. Plenty of yeast accents and some fruit in the aroma. Medium body with a soft mouthfeel, some malts and fruit and again a very distinct yeastiness. No bitterness but plenty of phenols. Actually reminds me of a German Hefe. 200608

33 cL bottle. Pours hazy yellow to orange with a slowly collapsing white head. Aroma is mild yeasty and vaguely spiced. Flavour is dry and spiced, light wheaty. Light orange fruity note too. Ends medium dry and mild yeasty.

Grovlam (4252) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JUN 20, 2008
Bottle. [After party @ Papsoe, thanks buddy] Huge thick creamy white head that mostly lasted. Good display of lacework. Light cloudy golden color. Aroma of light fruit, grain, yeast. Over the palate hint of ginger, coriander and fruit. Light bodied with a soft carbonation and somewhat thin texture. Light sweet flavor. Light sweet fruity and hint of acidic finish. 5 / 3 / 5 / 3 / 10

fiulijn (20614) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 20, 2008
Hazy blond color, big head. It’s an ordinary Ale, with a light spicy character, correctly brewed but without other details to talk about.
