Gold pour with good sized, thick white head. Nose and flavor of grains, wheat, and yeast. Light bodied with a slick palate and dry finish. Pretty enjoyable. wcampbell (721) - Clemson, South Carolina, USA - MAR 8, 2009
Pretty good. Huge head but light carbonation. Yeasty and fruity flavor that is lightly sweet. Needed some more spice to live up to the "imperial name". Less spicy than some other wits out there. Very smooth and drinkable, no taste of alcohol. jkwalking05 (4745) - Arlington, Texas, USA - FEB 19, 2009

Draught at TJ’s: Faint aroma of hops, and light citrus,. Poured gold in color with a medium-sized, dense, white head that lasted throughout. Clear. Not sparkling. Flavor is slightly sweet. Tastes of wheat, light hops, slight grains, and light yeast. Light to medium body. Oily, then dry texture. Soft carbonation. Dry wheat finish.

On tap @ Max’s BBF. Pours a very hazy golden color with a small white head. Spicy aroma, very bready body; dough, with a small hint of citrus. Not bad. JoeMcPhee (9549) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 8, 2009
Tap at Blind Tiger. Hazy yellow straw coloured brew. Aroma is quite citrusy and and fruity with just a touch of coriander and some light berry sweetness as well. Quite fruity and wheaty smelling. Flavour is somewhat unusual, with less of the coriander that is typical and more of the yeast fruitiness than I was expecting. Light cherry and a bit of strawberry and even a kiss of wildness. A little bit of tartness and some nice yeasty spiciness as well. This is not at all what I was expecting and it is surprisingly subtle. Lingering fruit and soft tart/sweet finish. On tap at Blind Tiger. Pours a hazy golden with a nice fluffy white head and some good lace. Aroma is orange zest right away, with earthy phenolics good doughy yeast character and a creamy yet somewhat sharp wheat malt kick. Flavor is yeasty phenolic- bubblegum- lemon and orange citrus with a lemony twang of an acidic kick at the end- somewhat tart. Nice double wit. nuplastikk (6452) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 3, 2009
750ml corked bottle. Murky orange-tan color. Picked up at State Line Liquors in MD, no way to tell how long it’s been sitting on the shelf. The carbonation seems a little low, but the smooth creaminess really works for this one. Whereas a lot of other Double Whites have a rather detectable upped alcohol presence, this one is perfectly incorporated/covered. Mild aroma as well. Sweet, light on the palate, and creamy. Bare minimal hopping. Very sessionable and delicious. Doesn’t exactly blow me away like some Belgians, but it is really quality and recommended for fans of Wits, and Belgian Pale Ales. Gets better the towards the end with the yeast poured in.
