YUCK! should’nt have poured the whole bottle !this is just too filthy for words, how many flying-around-things can be in a beer? and it doenst go away, i’ve rested it like 15 minutes, still flying there... so, mind to 0 and having a taste. the things that ruin it is 1) the feeling of swallowing so much stuff ( like 10 flys in every sip kinda feeling) and , appart from that, to much gas. kinda bitter. wanna be duvel? anyway would get much more if not this filthy ! drained after some ( of the hardest ever) sips

Bottle. Hazy yellow color with a huge frothy head. Nice sound from the descending head. Aroma of fruity hops. Sour taste of citrus attacks at first. Then it turns into a bitter taste of fryity hops. Quite unique beer.

(Draught at Delirium tap bar, Brussels, 18 July 2012) Golden amber colour with frothy, white head. Malty, fruity nose with dried fruit, marzipan, honey and grassy hops. Malty, fruity taste with notes of tropical fruit, candy sugar, honey, caramel and a gentle, spicy bitterness in a finish with a certain alcohol bite. Almost full body, quite sweet. A bit boozy and unrefined, but quite decent.

Bottle. Deep clear orange body, big foamy white head. Nose is floral heather tones of pale malts, honey, alcohol and hints of Belgian ale yeast. Taste is sweet yeasty tones of pale malts, flowers, heather, alcohol and hints of honey and syrup in the back. OK. Lively carbonation, medium body and warming alcohol. A rather sweet but still pleasant strong golden ale in the Belgian tradition. Nothing to lose one’s head over, though. (Sorry, just had to... :-P)

Bottle 33 cl. Pours clear copper amber with a huge white head leaving good lacing. Aroma is sweet phenolic spicy fruity peachy malty; very nice. Bottle from BelgBeerGeek, thanks! Clear golden with a lot of visible suspended material and a small pale head. Aroma is pear, peach, honey, grape. Sweet on the palate, no sign of bitterness. Taste is honey, sweet apple juice, candi syrup, grape skins, hint of stone fruits. Nice but not a beer I'd lose my head over.

HenryXXX (238) - British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 19, 2012
Pours a very cloudy golden straw color. The nose is sour green apples, yeast, cinnamon, and grapes. There are notes of quince and pear. The pallet is very malty/caramel. It starts with a yeasty effervescence, followed by the very intense malt and finishes with quince and pear. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The people who have floating yest in their bottles obviously had badly handled bottles and shouldn’t rate them. I had this beer on cask in the brewery in Melle. A gigantic 2.5 finger head gives way to gorgeous Belgian lace that clings to the glass. The nose is of ripe pears, pepper, damp earth, and a subtle hint of mangos. The taste is spot on belgian strong. The spicy phenolic blast is unbelievalbly smooth, the ester profile excellent. There is a cleanly balanced bitterness that drops away quickly with a low-medium hop aroma gives way to a clean finish. It is not too sweet, not cloying at all...this is an excellent beer, better than DT and on par with Duvel Triple Hop, De Graal, and Augstijn grand cru.
