Pours a light clean straw yellow with two fingers of sticky white head. Nose is estery with soft white fruit being dominant. Notes of bread dough and spicy yeast creep in. Very similar to a Delirium but perhaps a bit more peppery/spicy. Light medium body with a fruity finish.

UPDATED: DEC 6, 2017

330ml bottle bought at CitySuper in Harbour City, Tsim Sha Tsui.

Looks: Clear golden amber colour with a thin traces of yeast sediments; Three finger head with long lasting creamy white foam; beautiful sticky lacing with very fizzy carbonation.

Aroma: Very fragrant malt, with strong vanilla, banana, bubblegum, cream cakes, caramel, floral, sugar, strong spices, bread, strong Bel yeast, lemon peels and strong grass.

Taste: Mid to strong sweet malt, with strong citrus, vanilla, strong floral, sugar, spices, herbs, bread, strong Bel yeast, lemon, medium bitter hops and strong grass.

Body: Medium body. Quite slick and slightly creamy palate.

Mouth Feel: Good maltyness in a slightly thinned but smooth background. Very Tripel-ish, very clean with strong citrusy and bitter hoppiness. Strong spicy floral herbs with pleasant candi sweetness, biscuity Bel yeasty with lemon to round. Simple and nice!

Hoppiness: Floral, strong spices, lemon peels and strong grass in nose. Strong citrus, strong floral, spices, herbs, lemon and strong grass in taste; Bitterness is fairly strong for a lasting, mid to high astringent sweet-bitter candi finish.

After Taste: Fairly dry. Grassy citrusy and bitter to mouth.

Comments: This one has all the traits of a well-made Tripel - clean maltyness got leaned by wheat but smoothed by oats, well-attenuated with tasty booze and nice candi sweetness, with a simple but effective citrus hoppiness. Not sophisticated but perfect for chilling out. Yes!

Gran cuerpo y final semi-seco,

Sampled from a bottle from Utobeer. Stoneware-style bottle with a crown cap. Pours a hazy golden colour with sediment and a foaming white head. Lots of sweetness in the taste but offset by a well-balanced bitterness. Notes of orange, peach and yeasty flavours. Also candy and spices. Good bitter finish. A good Belgian Ale but a little too much sugary flavour for me.

Clear golden color with frothy off-white head. Aroma has sweet malt and sugar with light yeast esters. Taste is boozy, sugary, yeasty with some earthy bitterness on the finish. Medium to light body, medium carbonation, dry, but quite boozy and difficult to drink.
