Ambrée foncée grisonnante, trouble, bouche assez douce, sucrée, notes malts et léger caramel, peu d’amertume, finale un peu trop retenue. 50cl à la pression chez Oz Ange, Amiens, France, bue le 19/08/2016.

Bottle from the farm-shop in Saint-Gratien. Malzig-süßlicher Antrunk, frisch, malzig-frisch. Moderat süßlich, nette milde weiche Malz-Noten. Kaum Bitternoten, weich, mild mit schöner Schokoladen-Note. Spannend.

Bottle Conditioned. Well balanced and complex. Pours a light white head with soft carbonation. Hops not assertive at first, but develop on the palate, complementing biscuity roast malts. One of the best Ambree’s I’ve tried.

3.4
Countbeer (6592) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - DEC 19, 2012
Bottle: Medium to bigger sized, lively woody vanilla light tan colored head, changes quick into a thin but closed lacing on top of a deep murky deep hazy amber colored beer. Smell hay, barley malts, caramel, hint of rubber, creamy and a hint of yeast. Taste malts, corn, caramel, floral, bitter, caramelised hops, barley bitter, hint of gass, slight hint of yeast and some fruity tints of orange and lemon. Aftertaste malts, grains, honey, floral, hay/grass and light bitter. Low carbo, soft creamy mouthfeel, medium body and a creamy texture. Not bad, it’s balanced, smooth and pretty tasty but just a bit dull. The French are truely brewing. does this mean more beer less wine, good thing is: lots of wine barrels should be available for barrel aged French beers...
