The black one in this series, thanks Marie for the bottle. Lacing, light beige, moussy, stable head, very dark burgundy colour but actually black in general appearance, only allowing light to pass through on the edges. Aroma of caramelized or even burnt sugar, leather, coffee grounds, dried meat, bitter ’fondant’ chocolate, dry earth, beef stock cubes, honey, ruby port, liquorish. Sweet onset of candied cherry and raisin upon an underlying blackberry-like sourishness of roasted barley, quickly gaining a beef stock-like umami aspect, medium carbo, smooth and oily mouthfeel; caramelly and chocolatey, thick creamy maltiness in the middle, going from sweet over bittersweet to bitter, the latter being reinforced by not only coffee-like roasted bitterness but quite a confident dosis of peppery hop bitterness as well, lasting long, leaving behind a pleasant bitter aftertaste and a somewhat powdery yeast effect. Unexpectedly good: I usually have low expectations from French beers but there is a growing beer scene there too; I hope they will one day incorporate their knowledge of wine making into it like the Italians did, but for now, this is a very decent and enjoyable porter (or even stout). Bottle shared at Kenny’s 20k 15/01/2016. Thanks to Harrisoni for this one. A dark black / brown coloured pour with a small creamy loose light tan head. Aroma is brown malts, tangy apple, nutty. Flavour is composed of semi sweet chocolate, dried apple and nutty malts. Lingering bitter chocolate. Palate is highish carbonation and a little. Mineral.

That’ll be me 20K then @ ChrisO’s. Thanks to Ian. Clear deep brown beer, tidy pale tan head. Palate is light, semi dry and has a reasonable fine carbonation. Thin dark malts, some light grain. A mild floralness into modest dark fruits. Light semi dry finish. Just another porter.

Light black with a moderate tan covering.
Nose is chocolate, dark fruits, roast malt, spice.
Taste comprises sweet vibes, light chocolate, toffee, light hop notes.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close.

Clear dark brown color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, dark malt, spicy, fruity malt. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average to long duration, minerals, dark malt, sweet malt, light yeasty. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. 
Bottle share at Kenny’s 20K, thanks to Ian. As ’La Mascotte Noire’. Black with a small foamy brown head, dotted lacing. Aroma is twiggy, cardboard, some booze. Body is light, tingly carbonation, a bit foamy. Taste is dry, cardboard, varnish, dry and roasty, spice and pepper in the finish. Not pushing my buttons I’m afraid. Bottle at MadMitch76 20K tasting, thanks to Ian. It pours darkest brown with a small light tan head. The nose is bitter- sweet, roasted malt, earth, treacle and toasted brown sugar. The taste is toasted grain, earthy, treacle, fruit cake, wood, cocoa and warming alcohol. Medium body, fine carbonation and chewy mouth-feel. Not a whole lot to it, but not bad overall.
