The amber colour is the result of brewing a pure variety of two-row spring malt, the addition of roasted wheat along with a careful selection of spices in its recipe. La Ramée is a non-filtered high fermentation beer, re-fermented in the bottle, exceptionally easily to digest, with a slightly peppery flavour. In order to enjoy the fullness of its flavour, we advise you to savour it at a temperature of between 7° and 10°C.

In 2015-2016 for sure brewed at Du Bocq.

Rather poor tripel ale. The flavour of alcohol overpowers any interesting flavours that could hide inside.

Bottle from Delhaize Supermarket in Leuven, 2005. An amber to light brown ale, lighter than a double, though rather dark for a tripel. Only slightly sweet, with dry, earthy flavors, some caramel, fruit, spices. Rather interesting as a tripel, but rather dry and restrained overall.

On tap @ Brussels Casino, Brussels. Light coppery body with a medium off-white top. Aroma is dark malts, molasses and ale yeast. Taste is not good; metallic notes all over the place, barely covered by dark malts and sugary tones. Kinda artificial, in a way. And an abbey tripel? Whuut? This is pretty much an amber/"Belge Speciale" all the way. Get real.

Amber to brown coloured, with a small off-white head. Aroma has hops and some fruits (cherries or krieken). Hoppy taste, a bit sweetish and fruity. Slighlty dry finish, somewhat bitter. Nice beer.

Bottle at Delirium. Pours dark copper, with a foamy, clingy light beige head. Sharpish caramel aroma. Spicey in a peppery way. Grabs the attention. Finishes dryish, spicey and bitter.

Bottled. Copper colour, rocky off-white head. Fruity aroma, with tad tidbits and caramel. Lively mouthfeel, with notes of tidbits, light toasty malt, of course caramel. Here is a lower spice sensation compared to the Blonde, but choriander is sensed. Nice, fruity, jelly-like finish in a medium body with an almost unexisting bitterness.

Pours a hazy dark orange to copper color with a nice thick cream color head. Aroma are floral with fruits and malts. Flavors of roasted malts and caramel with some nutty side and some spices. Good amount of carbonation with a sweet dry finish. Great flavors, nice and enjoyable.

330 ml bottle. Hazy amber body with a big tan head. Aroma of caramel, light burnt sugar, fruit and yeast. Flavor is sweet malt, dry fruit, yeast, some roasted caramel and low bitterness. This is a typical Belgium flavor without being outstanding in any way. Can’t say I hate it or love it, but could easily drink it.
