COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The amber colour is the result of brewing a pure variety of two-row spring malt, the addition of roasted wheat along with a careful selection of spices in its recipe. La Ramée is a non-filtered high fermentation beer, re-fermented in the bottle, exceptionally easily to digest, with a slightly peppery flavour. In order to enjoy the fullness of its flavour, we advise you to savour it at a temperature of between 7° and 10°C.

In 2015-2016 for sure brewed at Du Bocq.

UPDATED: OCT 29, 2011 Bottle from Beers of Europe, thanks Sev! A deep orange colour with a red tinge. Nice thick off-white head. Aroma of candy sugar, caramel and pepper. Flavours of barley, candy sugar and peppery hop linger. Quite heavily carbonated.

jaghana (6160) - Strasbourg (Alsace), FRANCE - JUN 7, 2011
Bottle 33cl, a light amber beer with huge head, heavy carbonation. Nose is very lemony, aroma is medium sweet to low, low malty, astringent, bitter, acid with a real citrus presence, dry finish with peppey hops. A very basic triple with a low and uninteresting body, too acid, poor.

Rather poor tripel ale. The flavour of alcohol overpowers any interesting flavours that could hide inside.

KyotoLefty (10523) - Kyoto, JAPAN - FEB 12, 2011
Bottle from Delhaize Supermarket in Leuven, 2005. An amber to light brown ale, lighter than a double, though rather dark for a tripel. Only slightly sweet, with dry, earthy flavors, some caramel, fruit, spices. Rather interesting as a tripel, but rather dry and restrained overall.

ClubGonzo (5685) - Bergen, NORWAY - SEP 17, 2010
On tap @ Brussels Casino, Brussels. Light coppery body with a medium off-white top. Aroma is dark malts, molasses and ale yeast. Taste is not good; metallic notes all over the place, barely covered by dark malts and sugary tones. Kinda artificial, in a way. And an abbey tripel? Whuut? This is pretty much an amber/"Belge Speciale" all the way. Get real.

JanEric (1241) - Meppel, NETHERLANDS - SEP 13, 2010
Amber to brown coloured, with a small off-white head. Aroma has hops and some fruits (cherries or krieken). Hoppy taste, a bit sweetish and fruity. Slighlty dry finish, somewhat bitter. Nice beer.

bhensonb (15489) - Woodland, California, USA - APR 21, 2010
Bottle at Delirium. Pours dark copper, with a foamy, clingy light beige head. Sharpish caramel aroma. Spicey in a peppery way. Grabs the attention. Finishes dryish, spicey and bitter.

rickgordon (3878) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - MAR 14, 2010
Bottled. Copper colour, rocky off-white head. Fruity aroma, with tad tidbits and caramel. Lively mouthfeel, with notes of tidbits, light toasty malt, of course caramel. Here is a lower spice sensation compared to the Blonde, but choriander is sensed. Nice, fruity, jelly-like finish in a medium body with an almost unexisting bitterness.
