Even today, tradition is respected because it is brewed with the greatest care, using traditional methods, based on a unique recipe from Brabant Hesbaye. The amber colour is the result of brewing a pure variety of two-row spring malt, the addition of roasted wheat along with a careful selection of spices in its recipe. La Ramée is a non-filtered high fermentation beer, re-fermented in the bottle, exceptionally easily to digest, with a slightly peppery flavour.

Used to be 8%. Changed to 7.5% at least 2015, maybe earlier.

In 2015-2016 for sure brewed at Du Bocq.

Tap @ Taverne Kopenhagen, Sint Niklaas. Pours yellow with a good white head. Aroma is peachy, yeasty. Taste follows along the same lines. A fairly alright, blond Belgian.

Shared a 33cl bottle from Cora (Luxembourg). Pours a clear yellow blonde colour with small white head. Aroma is hoppy, fruity and lightly spicy. Medium carbonation and light body. Flavour is bitter and moderate sweet. Overall, is a nice beer but not remarkable.

33 cl bottle. Yeast at the bottom. Golden colour with a huge fizzy white head. Light yeasty aroma of vitamins and spices. Smooth tasty flavour of yeast, spices and ends up with a warm feeling from the alcohol.

A winsome and nebulous lemon gold color on the pour with a modest head, that is white in color, frothy in consistency but it dissipates much to quickly, leaving a fine thin sheet to almost cover the glass. Malt is the dominant aroma, hints of yeast, and a bit musty but still pleasing enough to this old schnozzle. Ambrosial start that is nicely malted, top is skimpy in feel, the finish stingingly acidic, delightful in its hop spicy bite with a slightly bitter and long lasting aftertaste, quite drinkable, not great but a satisfying drink nonetheless.

Test vom 16.11.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,8,6,7,12,7 - 7,55

Served a little cooler than recommended, about 3c. Pours excellent into a Duvel chalice, beautiful head and a foggy beige body. Lots of hops on the nose, some coriander, bread. Taste is sharp malts, hops, spicy finish. Nice and unique.

Draft @ in Brugge. Clearish golden orange with a small white head. Aroma fruity, citrus and spicy yeast. Flavor is light malt and spice with a mild hop bitterness. Light body with active carbonation. Not bad, light and drinkable.

Cloudy orange coloured, small but lasting head. Very fruity aroma, apple, orange, some others as well. Not as much fruit in flavour, but lots of hops resulting in a bitter flavour. The dry finish is not really my thing.
