Výčap Monk Brusel. Mútna žltá farba, biela pena. Vôňa banánová, pšeničná, pikantná, jemne koriander. Chuť sladová, pšeničná, jemne banán, koriander, pomaranč, trošku pikantné. Veľmi ľahko piteľné. Vyššia nasýtenosť.

Draft at the Duke of Antwerp. Cloudy yellow blond with a white head. Aroma of citrus, wheat, yeast and coriander. Flavour is above light sweet and bitter. Light bodied with light carbonation.

From tap at Bier Central in Antwerp. The latest addition to this brand of ’pseudo-abbey beers’, with a very dense and creamy, snow white, ’beaten egg’-like, lacing head and fully cloudy yellow blonde colour with slightly greenish hue, very typical witbier appearance. Aroma of sugared lemon, coriander seed, orange peel, cloves, white bread, green apple, soap, raw cauliflower. Soft fruity onset, apple with a touch banana, mildly sourish with refreshing citrus peel effect, smooth and fluffy mouthfeel, very soapy ’wheatiness’, finishing with long but gentle soapy coriander flavour, a somewhat chalky feeling, lingering apple sweetishness and a hint of refreshing lemon peel. Very cliché witbier completely according to the old Hoegaarden standard, a tad too sweet for the style in my opinion and clearly intended to please the masses without shocking them; technically well-made and refreshing, but I still don’t see the point in yet another Hoegaarden clone!

Tasted yesterday 26.12.’15 @ Music Instruments Museum (restaurant) Brussels with Pierre + William. On tap a very hazy yellow color, with a good snowwhite head . Aroma: bit citrus, some spices, and coriander . Medium body. Taste sweet, good refreshing, orange, coriander, soft bitter . Nice wheatbeer.

Hazy straw with a nice foam top. Fresh taste, some coriander, citrus, malt. Medium finish, bit watery and mineral. Nice white beer

Interesting beer. Pours a very cloudy yellow. Lots of citrus and banana aromas. But the taste falls flat and watery.

Alusmamuts (2097) - LATVIA - APR 15, 2015
Pale yellow cloudy with small white creamy head. Sweetish aroma with coriander notes. Moderate sour taste with some vanilla sweetness and good coriander notes, followed by certain bitterness.

TedE (1429) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - MAR 28, 2015
On tap @ Cafe Georgette, Brussels. Pours cloudy honey with small cream head. Nose is sour. Taste is sour chalky, finish is abrupt. I love the cleanliness of this beer, like water distilled through layers of sandstone. Brilliant.
