My Bottom Line:trapped (3774) - New York, TURKEY - AUG 2, 2016
Toasted cereals merge with earthy hops, as roasted and nearly burnt angles build length alongside umami notes.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam covers the mahogany-hued dark brown.
-Drinkability is fine if you are into overt toastiness.
-Mouthfeel is a tad sweet, but it helps soften the toasted malts.
-Even though these guys don’t do much to stand out beer-wise, you can rely on a decent pint from them nonetheless.
Draught @ the old city location. Clear dark brown with reddish tint, medium foamy beige head, very faint roasted malt aroma, high carbonation, bitter mocha taste, thin body, long bitter finish. Quite a nice brew. dwyerpg (6493) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - MAR 8, 2016
Style wise, this is probably the best of the bunch for me. A great roast with a complicated flavor. Well done beer. jsquire (4662) - St. Marys, Ohio, USA - FEB 10, 2016
Reddish mahogany color with a sticky beige head. Light roasted grain nose. Dark caramel sweetness with a bit of coffee and some grassy hops in the finish. Another flavorful but light beer. Lubiere (14240) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 8, 2015
A reddish copper ale with a thin mocha head. In aroma, nice caramel malt with grassy hops, light coffee grind, OK. In mouth, a nice grassy caramel malt with light coffee notes and grassy floral hops, OK. On tap at brewery.

Draft at their brewery in Panama. Almost black with sticky off white head. Chocolate on the aroma and taste dominates. Smooth. Coffee notes. Banana and fruit notes on the finish. Really good Curtis2010 (8) - GUATEMALA - AUG 9, 2013 does not count
On draught at their Canejo district location. Aroma: roast malt, mild bitterness. Appearance: dense brownish head, dark brown/ruby color. Taste: dryish roasty malt. Palate: medium body. Overall: good example of the style. tomciccateri (1035) - Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA - DEC 3, 2012
On draught at the brewpub. Pours a dark brown color with a thick brown head and lace. Medium-to-light body. Semi-dry, dark malt character, without any roasted astringency. solidfunk (9729) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - NOV 29, 2012
Smells of roast malt with some coffee tones. Pours mahogany with good initial leave and medium lacing. Aromas of a little musk. Taste has some light bitterness and crisp malt. Probably the best at the Golden Frog. On tap.
