Sample from a 0,75 L bottle. Unclear dark reddish-brown. Tall off-white head. Bubble-gum fruitiness and faint sourish bread on the nose. Taste is sourish bready, fairly dry, with a fine crispness. Some bitter and spice tones underneath. Less than medium full. Dry, lightly spiced ending. ClubGonzo (5683) - Bergen, NORWAY - OCT 9, 2011
Bottle from Vinmonopolet in Valkendorfsgate, Bergen. Pours a dark brown, red-hued body with a big, off-white head. Nice! Aroma is nuts, roasty malts and some earthy tones (potato-like, almost). Taste is roasty hazelnut notes, coffee and an almost ash-like dry finish. Hints of cat pee, nougat and herbs. Like a dark mild on steroids, or somewhere between a dubbel and a dry stout. Strange.. Palate is smooth but feels slightly watery. Weird and original, and far from your average Belgian. Not too convinced, though. Aniela (4215) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - AUG 28, 2011

Draught at Delirium, Brussels. Dark and dried fruits, plum, dried fig, chocolate in the nose. Dark malt flavors, chocolate, dried fruits. Nicely roasted and well-balanced, though not as wonderful as their lighter colored beers.

0.75 l bottle at Old Brick’s Inn, Jyväskylä. Dark reddish brown color. The aroma and flavor is combination of raisins, prunes and tart fruitiness. Some chocolate, clove and pepper in the background. Slight sweetness, dryer than most brunes and dubbels, which is nice. Pleasant and drinkable. mile (4069) - Helsinki, FINLAND - MAR 22, 2011
Bottle. Very dark brown, average and mostly diminishing light brown head. Moderate, malty and sweetish aroma, roasted malt and some licorice. Body is medium, malty and sweetish flavor, some roasted malt and alcohol. Finish is average, malty and lightly sweetish, alcohol, and some roasted malt. Alcohol in the finish dries the sweetness – not so sweet brune, quite one-dimensional though.
