Funky farmhouse aroma in a light yellow gold pour. Restrained sour taste to start with tart citrus body and a laid back dry finish. An excellent example of the style - made even better by its surprisingly low strength (which allows one to partake generously). Devonbung (43) - - JAN 19, 2017
Nice beer, slightly cloudy and straw in colour. Coincidentally had the Holgate Gose immediately prior and couldn’t help but note the similar salty/sour tones. This, combined with a citric (particularly lime) base endear it to more than one glass. Gets a little soupy at the bottle’s end. Andrus86 (720) - Busselton, WA, AUSTRALIA - OCT 20, 2016
BOTTLE. Lively straw coloured pour, big froffy head that settles quickly.. sweet fruity nose; like a frosty fruits icy pole.. Soft champagne yeast vibes, small amount of banana, passionfruit & mango, zesty tang.. Sourced Cape Cellars hawthorne00 (4151) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - AUG 8, 2016
These workers must be pretty well paid. Bottle. Pale gold with a white head that settles to a cm in short order. Aroma of fruity Brett (not funky at all) - nectarines, lemon pudding, citrus blossoms, crackers, hard spices. 7-8 Very dry with crackery dough, ghosts of stone fruit, hay. Quite bitter and very dry indeed at the end leaving mild spices and citrus blossoms. Started at the top of recommended temperature range of 4-6C and it seemed a bit austere (and a bit fizzy). Around 9C a little more fruit - some apricot as well as white nectarines - came out and the whole thing was more welcome as well as quenching. Shark_Pants (769) - AUSTRALIA - AUG 6, 2016
750ml bottle. Clear golden colour with huge frothy white head and torrents of cascading bubbles. Lemon and lime citrus aromas, grains, spicy phenolics, musty hay notes. The taste has the lemon/lime, very light cracker malt character, coriander/clove phenols, farmhouse yeast notes. Light bodied, crisp and highly refreshing. Fantastic beer, with great amount of flavour considering the low ABV.
