UPDATED: DEC 28, 2017 375ml bottle from Slow Beer 2, Fitzroy, Melbourne. Pours clear deep raspberry red with an off white head. Aromas of dough, light Belgian yeast, light balsamic, lactic acid, oak & red fruits. Taste is light sweet, moderately tart red berries, apple skin dryness with lactic yoghurt sourness. Light to medium bodied, soft frothy carb. Dry, fruity, slightly bretty finish. Spritzy & refreshing but it lacks complexity CurlyJoe (427) - AUSTRALIA - FEB 18, 2017
Hazy red/brown, very ’excited’. Aroma of funky stone fruit. Taste starts off quite mild and malty, followed up by lots of tart sourness. Very cleansing on the palate. mrjez (752) - Osaka, JAPAN - NOV 25, 2016
Bottle from World Beer Market, shared @ Lingua tasting. Pours a deep hazy red with nice lacing. Light Belgian yeast aroma, a touch of vinegar sour, lactic acid, a hint of fruit. Flavour of red fruits, some lactic yoghurt sourness, quite mild like the smell. It’s balanced well, medium feel, easy to drink. A tad reserved overall, but a good entrance point for those looking to try a Belgian red/brown. Lacks the complexity of their fine saisons. KansaiBeerLvrs (5568) - Kyoto, JAPAN - NOV 23, 2016
A crystal clear reddish brown with a sharp oak and berry aroma. Light bodied, tart, lactic, candyish with a berry caramel flavor. Nice but more yoghurty and with less depth than the Belgian version. Muggus69 (2831) - Yarram, Vic, AUSTRALIA - OCT 8, 2016
375mL bottle from Slowbeer. Bottled July 2016
Very much red body, slight haze, holds an off-white head.
Aroma reveals layers of cherry, plum, dark toffee malts, biscuit, touch of citrus & yoghurty funk - quite unique.
Palate starts quite full, acidity & some tannin kicks in & grabs hold, drying proceedings out; lively carbonation.
Malty upfront - toffee, nuts - then fruitiness kicks in - red plums, sour cherry, touch of wood - then some funk - natural yoghurt, hard cheese, good kick of acidity on the finish.
Saison meets Oud Bruine - very good

Tap. Hazy, red, frothy, white foam, medium sourness, light sweetness, lightly bitter, medium body, creamy, soft carbonation, & long finish. Devonbung (43) - - MAR 17, 2016
Bottle recommends to pour carefully for good reason - you’ll be greeted by a monster head as I was in my haste. Whilst a rich, smokey, malt flavour hits straightaway, the beer is comparatively light and easy to drink. Nice.
NB: There’ll also be a couple of tasty floaties waiting to be munched on at the bottom of your glass. Dervock (1541) - AUSTRALIA - DEC 18, 2015
Bottle - pours reddish brown with a frothy head. Malt dominated aroma, but of caramel sweetness. Taste is slightly sweet with a dry finish . Creamy palate. gnoff (11229) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - OCT 20, 2015

Hazy brown color, teal to reddish head (could be the lighting in the restaurant) with some lacing. Slight tart, grainy, vinous, spicy scent. Cream, malty, red berries taste. Tart (slight), malty, cream aftertaste. Medium to smooth mouthfeel, medium bitterness.
On tap at The Archive for Armakeggon. Served with a truffle oil hard cheese, this was delicious, complex, a touch smokey, very nice.
